You'll still find too many lime green polos and wind sock orange spring jackets that will never sell (at least not in this country) but bargains are to be had. What do I care if I walk away with a deeply discounted pair of "last season" jeans. What sane person could possibly tell the difference? (Pro tip: there is no difference.) As soon as my daughter was done paying, Sabine, who, up until that point had been nice enough, suddenly changed up her attitude and began to berate my daughter, who was wearing a mask. She demanded to know why my daughter was still wearing a mask, in fact her exact words were, "You're still wearing a mask. Why?" When my daughter explained her reasons for still wearing a mask, (not that she needed to explain herself), Sabine started to say it's probably because my daughter was a foreigner, "I know foreigners like to wear masks," were Sabine's words. For the record, we are not foreigners. We may not be white, but my family and I are American citizens, my children were born and raised in the US. My daughter told Sabine clearly that she was not a foreigner, and that she was born and raised in this country, to which Sabine replied, "Well, I guess you don't have an accent." My daughter walked out of the store shocked at the ridiculously racist comments she had just be subjected to from a store she had just supported with her business. We are still in shock! In the wake of all the attacks on members of the Asian American community, I do not feel safe letting my friends and family of color go near this shop which is owned by a woman who is blatantly racist and intolerant. Great little business that just opened in the Junction, located in Belford. The owner is super…read morepolite and helpful, but not helpful in that overly-exerted-cars-salesman way. She also listens to awesome music while you shop! The place also isn't overwhelming which is actually a refreshing feeling. There are two wracks - one is designer pieces she picks up to resell (at reasonable prices) and the other is a wrack of vintage clothes (all SUPER adorable). There are other accessories there, from belts, to head bands and scarfs, to shoes and bags, to jewelry. Tucked in the corner of the store is a dressing room too. Best of all, the selection changes throughout the week, as she is constantly updating her collection. The best part is there is a discount wrack outside and a $1 box - I scored a cute skirt and a cute travel bag in this overflowing treasure chest. Overall: what a sweet place to shop and I commend her for having such a fun store.
