My son was in a Sunrise Preschool location previously and it is like night and day! PCA is so friendly and CLEAN! The teachers give thorough daily reports, which for my children's age group is very important to me! It is a bit more expensive than or previous daycare but the old saying, you get what you pay for definitely applies. I would refer anyone in Surprise who needs a daycare to look at PCA, I truly cannot say enough good things about the staff, especially in the infants and 2 year old room!

The past three daycares would do nothing but send my son home. Monica is not your typical director. She is very hands on and will actually get to know you and your child / children. It feels so good to know my child is well taken care of. My son even asks to go to school on the weekends. That's how much he loves it here. The educational programs are not only fun and engaging but also well-thought-out and developmentally appropriate. My child has shown remarkable growth in various skills. Many incidents were not communicated promptly, and despite multiple meetings with leadership, the concerns continued without meaningful improvement. I later learned that leadership had reportedly told other families that my son was the cause of many classroom issues and that things would improve once he left. However, several parents shared that the same concerns continued after his departure, suggesting deeper issues were never addressed. Before enrolling, I encourage families to review the school's state licensing and compliance records. While there are caring teachers, I found leadership's communication, accountability, and handling of safety concerns to be disappointing. Ultimately, I withdrew my son because I no longer felt confident that the environment was safe or supportive.

However, the school…read morehas serious problems with its administrative staff and consistency among its many classrooms. Children are often moved to new classrooms with the equivalent of substitute teachers and these classrooms are chaotic and staff is overwhelmed and unable to effectively manage the class. Therefore, your child may like the school very much and never have a problem and then suddenly not want to attend the new class where there is uncontrolled bullying or a teacher who lets the children run amok. The administrative staff deals with this by sending home "incident reports" where your child's involvement and subsequent injuries are detailed, but no mention is made of actions that were taken with other students or how this is to be prevented in the future. Lastly, and most importantly, our experiences with the front desk and office staff have been horrendous. Most often the Director and any other senior staff are not physically present at the school and instead work from home and will only be called if a misunderstanding or disagreement should arise. This happens fairly frequently, as the Assistant Director Alexis Martin is less than astute and mans the front desk more like a bouncer at a nightclub, barring entrance for any child showing signs of an illness or who might have had a payment declined unknowingly after years of attendance and always paying on time. In these instances, the staff does not seek to handle the issue discreetly. Instead, you should expect to be embarrassed and treated with disrespect in front of other parents entering the building. No apology is given when it turns out that the issue has already been resolved via email with the Director Monique Griffith, who is at home and has failed to communicate and update staff on-site. In general, there is little concern for customer service since staff will tell you themselves that the school has a waiting list and you're more than welcome to disenroll your child.

People have their own opinions of the integrity and professionalism that a venue displays. I am not writing an updated review to oppose others opinions because an opinion can not be refuted. What I will say, and I stand firmly on MY opinion, that this organization is a top notch professional and family oriented business. The owners and staff alike pride themselves with professionalism and high integrity. These folks at Wee Rascals provide a service to take care of their community's children. In retrospect this organization has continued an exemplary service. As any business that provides a service, they too, look for ways to better serve in the capacity that they serve in. I am tremendously impressed with the staff. For example, my grandchild is diagnosed with ADHD, and whenever there is a challenge they go research whatever the challenge is and discuss with my wife and me so as to come up with an action plan to work together with us to ensure a better experience for not only my child but having the other children's experience in mind as well. Remember, an opinion cannot be refuted. And my opinion is that Wee Rascals Old-school is highly regarded in our family and community.

Villa is a God-send for my daughter Kylee. Kylee attended Hopi for a couple of years and it just wasn't working. We moved Kylee over to Villa beginning in 4th grade and she immediately loved it. She is blossoming as a reader and is having fun with her assignments in the Montessori environment. The student to teacher ration is really great. Kylee's classroom of 28 students has a teacher and TWO full time assistants. At hopi Kylee was really struggling, and at VM she has not only become a better student, but also a more confident, assertive, and creative little girl. The 28th Street campus across from Camelback High School is brand new and the setting is just lovely. I feel good about taking Kylee to school here. She is learning, she is safe, and she is loved there. What more could a parent ask for! Hat's off to Villa Montessori. If I could give it 6 stars I would.

It's true that if you're looking for a very rigorous/college prep academic experience, this likely isn't the right fit for your family. Villa seems to focus more on fostering curiosity, creativity, independence, community, and leadership. And yet, proficiency in reading, writing and math somehow just seem to happen. Our kids' teachers have been so caring and exceptional at creating a safe and positive classroom community where learning happens naturally. The handful of times I've brought a concern or request to administration, they have been extremely receptive and taken action where needed. It's clear the staff and teachers really care about the kids and their families. No school is perfect, of course, but Villa is a great fit for our family and I'm certain they will be well-prepared for high school when the time comes, both socially and academically.
