All were good but I'll note that the salsa verde is as definitely hotter than many others I've had. It was pushing my limits - I'm not a wimp but I can't do very hot (think Thai-spicy), either. I'm still not a big fan of sweet tamales but their strawberry version is among the better ones I've had. I'm only sorry they didn't have the guava today. Which brings me to my only real complaint. The signature tamale varieties available for ordering included cheese, pork, and chicken, along with the famous salsa verde. I opted for chicken and was pleased with my choice. The order came with reheating and freezing instructions. The masa is light and the chicken is fresh and high-quality. The perfect comfort food to add spice and warmth to a Chiago winter! I like that they didn't have a lot of masa covering the meat. But they were somewhat sloppy. And update your prices on your tamales since I was charged $12.00 per half-dozen instead of the $11.00 listed on your website. Or notify the customer of the price increase. One more thing, that salsa was very watery. Would I return, I don't know. The jury is still out on this one. But last week, I took my car in for repairs and right next to the Goodyear store was this gem that I decided to try while waiting for an Uber - which ended up being my brother who gave me a lift when I discovered that Uber prices at that time were three times higher than what I had previously paid. It was early in the afternoon and what attracted me was the tamale sign outside. Homemade tamales are a real treat to me, so I decided to try a small sampling and ended up with four different ones. Some chicken, some pork, one pretty hot ( I stayed away from ordering too many spicy ones as "hot" is widely interpreted, so I wanted to catch a glimpse of the definition of mild here first!). The tamales were good - glad I tried them. I also picked up some tamales for my brother's family along with a ham and cheese quesadilla for him - he's a bit of a lightweight when it comes to spicy food. But these items were among dozens of different offeringa the place had. Desserts aplenty and several varieties of tortas, all of which looked delicious. But my favorite part about the place was the staff. The young woman who helped me was pretty new to the place and had a cheerful and vibrant personality. Another woman who came out from the back and seemed to be an owner or manager also answered many of my questions and she was happy and helpful as well. Awesome, positive service experiences seem to be fewer and farther between these days, so when I come across one, I'm truly appreciative. This place opens at 4AM, so they're now on my "stop in" list when I'm on my way home from work in the morning.
