They also have fresh sliced limes and lots of syrups. There's a sign with some soda/syrup combos if you aren't sure what to make. You know what's amazing? Sipping while you shop! The night I went they had a pop up with a girl doing permanent jewelry. They have a bunch of cute valentines decor and cards. I'm such a sucker for a heart, so it was the perfect time for me to go. They also had a bunch of other cute decor. Really good selection of coffee table books and cook books! They also had a really cute clothes. It looked like they had some dressing rooms. They have a beautiful flower bar with super cute valentines ribbons. At the front counter, they have a bunch of candies and some behind the registers that the employees can get for you. When I went to check out, the girl was getting some candy for someone, and she made sure to make eye contact with me and say she'd be right there. Very hospitable. The prices are what is to be expected from an adorable, local boutique. The stuff that's on the pricier end seemed worth it to me, and there were some things that I thought were priced really well. As I entered the shop on a Friday afternoon, two girls bearing the same wavy blond bob, glasses, and even exhibiting similar mannerisms greeted me! I asked if they were twins, and we all had a good giggle as they explained no, they just sort of merged into the same person after spending so much time working together. Isn't it funny how that sometimes happens? They were both friendly and helpful, explaining how to dispense the bulk products, and happily answering questions. A small thing that is such a helpful idea, is that they accept donated reusable containers, so if you forget your own, or, like me, happen upon the shop without having previously planned on stopping by, you are free to use any of these bottles! The bulk goods consist of body, beauty, and home products. Featured brands are recognizably good ones: EO, Biokleen, Mountain Rose Herbs, and Meow Meow Tweet (you can even grab a bit of their well-reviewed natural deodorant!). In addition to the bulk offerings, they sell regular size natural makeup and beauty products, lots again from Meow Meow Tweet, Fat and the Moon, and others. They even have reusable period pads and cups. SLC, you're getting so progressive! In addition, there were creative planters and ceramic containers, gorgeously fragranced candles, a variety of incense, clever greeting cards, notebooks and other stationary, pretty reusable totes and bags, and jewelry. Most (maybe all?) are hand crafted, some locally. There was even a small rack of vintage clothing! Prices are reasonable; though do not expect overly cheap bulk prices. As the products on offer are high quality, you will pay accordingly, and it's worth it!

I've been on the hunt for a bulk shop since I…read moregot to Utah, so I was very excited to find them despite them being almost a 40min drive from my place. I also heard that they do offer food composting for 60 cents a gallon out back which was a godsend since my new 'hood doesn't do composting (and it's too early in the season to use for planting). The shop is super cute, clean and organized. Parking is very easy out front (no payment required). The vibrant woman working there was ultra helpful and friendly (she even remembered to text me when one of the products I asked about came in). She showed us around and let us know how things worked. I ended buying a lot more than I planned (including their kombucha! cinnamon apple -- yum!), and I am happy with all of their products so far. The rose deodorant is amazing. I have yet to try the epsom salts, but am excited to. The shop overall is a little bit expensive, but I'd much rather pay more to live responsibly. Composting price is a steal though -- definitely my go-to now.

We had a nice little chat about the Capital and our travels. She insisted I use the change from the dish so I didn't end up with a pocket of change. Very nice. It's a small shop but had lots of fun things to choose from. I did find my postcards (3 for $1). Very glad I stopped. Can't wait to send them to friends and family.

I was pleased with the selection-there are t-shirts, candy, jewelry, magnets, postcards and more. Everything is fairly priced and there's something here for just about anyone. The customer service was fantastic-the nice young man stayed open past their posted closing time to accommodate some late shoppers. I, like many people during the pandemic, have really gone on a houseplant spree. I want to be a…read morebaby and mention that I was into them long before it was cool, but admittedly, have ramped up my hobby, and am currently 100+ plants in, on the way to turning my entire house into a jungle. For the last few months, I have heard mention of Planted Earth Floral from various members of a plant group in which I participate. The "Floral" really throws you off, as I would assume they are a florist, rather than a mostly-antiques-with-a-side-of-houseplants-shop. When I heard they had some long sought String of Turtles in stock, I made the drive down to Orem. They are located right off State Street, in a beautiful Victorian brick house. The facade is cluttered with décor: signage, furniture, garden statues, and other large decorations. The interior arrangement of goods matches that, but it is in the charming way where you never quite know what you will discover. When I walked in, a gentleman was at the front desk looking at his phone. He looked at me, more than once, but without a smile or any sort of greeting. Thus, it felt awkward looking at the goodies in that immediate area (and there was a doozy of a jewelry collection). I wandered through the rest of the store noting lots of great stuff: Victorian fur coats (and plenty of other vintage clothing), candy colored depression glass, beautiful pottery, prints, and all the staples one would hope to find, but I was on a mission, and only gave it a cursory glance. Plants are housed in a little greenhouse, and it is not a particularly large area, but they have some real treasures! Many common plants, but plenty that feel more special, like the aforementioned String of Turtles, Prince of Orange and Birkin Philodendrons, several varieties of Alocasias (even trendy Black Velvet!), Calatheas, etc. Many sizes, in hanging and standard pots, macramé hangers, etc. I was very pleased, and tempted by many, but only have so much space, so forced myself to stick with the plant for which I visited. Prices are comparable to other area nurseries, and I think the same could be said for their antiques. When I paid for my purchase, the same gentleman who had been at the front when I arrived assisted me, and he was as nice as could be! He shared care tips for my baby, and told me about the little tree frog they have living in their terrarium. So don't be put off if your encounter initially feels unfriendly. So far, my SOT is living the good life in a terrarium I crafted at the store owner's recommendation, and he seems happy as can be. Planted Earth is an excellent option for a lesser-known nursery that just might surprise you with your wish list plant.
