Lissa McKinney is my hero. I was in a difficult position being taken advantage of by my former employer struggling to take care of things on my own. I had been working in my position for four years with conditions becoming difficult in the last year, culminating in a refusal of payment for work completed at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic. I was shut out, left with no income and no real options. I talked about it with Lissa and she jumped right in. She took the time to understand and clarify my case, strengthening my original argument and finding more liability that compounded the severity to my employer, having the matter entirely resolved in two weeks. My case started with my employer refusing to pay for work that had been completed, breaking contractual obligations. The next day we had a response and began negotiations. By the end of the week, I received partial payment from my employer. I can't recommend Lissa enough. Lissa handled a pending restraining order against me with meticulous detail and far exceeded my expectations. This case was extremely complicated and, though fraudulent, could have been damaging to my reputation and career.
