Beyond that, there is light fixtures, handcrafted tables, kitchen supplies, wedding items and much more. The store itself is very big so you can get lost pretty easy. The staff is friendly and willing to help you. It was nice to just walk around and get lost looking at all the different items they sell. Next time we are in Old Forge, we will definitely be stopping here for more household items!

That they are carved two weeks before the sale and could not be inside. If I was told that, I would understand, maybe they think I'm psychic. No sign, nothing to indicate they need to stay outside... nothing! I will never buy anything there again. This was embarrasing and the thought meant alot to the recipient. Old Forge Hardware's vast bookstore is hands down the largest and broadest in genre scope for 100 miles, stocked to the stacks with ADK history, Art, how-to books, true crime, kids' books, adult fantasy & my favorite: HORROR. The store is down the street a couple miles from main street in Old Forge so you wouldn't walk there from all the other shops, you'd have to make a specific stop for the store but I think that stop would be well worth it. They have a decent selection of nice gifts from jewelry and hats,shoes,clothes to more traditional photo albums, etc.. They have more locally made items then most of the other Adirondack stores in Old Forge and the prices are pretty reasonable on most of the items. When I went they even had good sales on certain shoes and hats. There was one item I was interested in getting and the woman let me know that she was out of them and let me know they were china made and not locally made and I'm glad she brought it to my attention. I respected her for putting down the cheap stuff she carrys probably just due to demand from some customers, it really just let me know how much pride she took in gelling quality gifts and not putting the cheap items on the same esteem.

The store inventory has a variety of beautiful bracelets, necklaces, rings, earrings and her famous "baskets". As you shop you can watch Lisa work on her next piece. The business website doesn't have everything she has available for sale but she does do live Facebook sales and she is on Instagram. I purchased a gorgeous link bracelet and it was so difficult to chose which one I wanted. Lisa can make a custom design for any requests and she has a selection of weight, length and width to all her pieces. She is extremely knowledgeable and it's fun to learn how she made each piece. The prices are very reasonable and all pieces are one of a kind. I'll be back and I highly recommend checking out her site and scheduling a visit if possible!
