Spent a weekend in the snow and cold in Old Forge NY with Kurt and the rest of the small class of die-hard photographers. This was sponsored by View, the Arts Center of Old Forge. It was early mornings, cold, windy and snowing. I had a blast. Ya gotta love the weather up here. Anyway, Kurt was great. A genuinely nice guy, personable, sincere and very knowledgeable. He ensured everyone received his attention in the field and classroom. I've been a photographer for a number of years but I learned some new things and renewed my interest. I recently visited Kurt's gallery in Old Forge, and I highly recommend stopping by if you are in the area. Kurt's photographs are stunning, and he always does a great job of capturing beautiful images of the lakes and mountains in the Adirondacks, year round. His photographs are beautifully printed on both paper and metal, and some are framed. If there is a specific photo you are interested in, he will have it ordered in the size you need if it isn't available at the gallery. Kurt is also not only professional, but approachable and friendly. He makes sure each person has an enjoyable visit to his gallery, and will ask if there is a certain area or lake that is special to you. Kurt instructed a photo workshop the first weekend in March. It was snowing and cold but perfect for learning how to get some beautiful shots. I took a sunset photography class with Kurt Gardner last night. What an awesome experience! I learned so much. Kurt is a very accomplished photographer and excellent teacher.
