My husband and I decided to hire a videographer with only 7 months to go until the wedding so we were a little bit stressed & feeling like we didn't have much time to prepare. Rob with 123 Imaging was so friendly and happy to answer any questions each step of the way so that we felt at ease. We hired 123 Imaging for the Ceremony package only and are so glad we did. We absolutely would have regretted not having that footage. Our dog (our ringbearer) had passed away 2 months after the wedding and although not originally in our video wish list, Rob was happy to search for the footage to make sure the moment with our dog was in the video and not a moment was missed. He was also very good with communicating with us and so kind. Shout out to Amber and Christina who set up the cameras and the drone (and Daniel who ended up photographing our event with our photographer Caitlyn from Moments Captured CNY!). Unprofessional Quality and Unprofessional Communication - Do Not Recommend My wife and I hired Rob Rivera Photography after meeting him at a wedding show. We paid $3,000 for an inclusive package (shooting the event, 150 professionally edited photos, and three printed albums). When it came time to receive our finished product, there was a discrepancy between what he provided and what we expected. We were sent access to 6,691 proofs. From that, we expected 3 professionally arranged and printed photo albums that contained 60 photos, as well as to receive the remaining 90 professionally-edited photos that didn't make it in the album and the remaining unedited photos we had identified as worthwhile (those without people blinking, not duplicates, etc.). While the agreement referenced the number 150, it seemed pretty far-fetched to select only that many images out of 6,691 from a 12-hour wedding event as the only photographic evidence of our wedding (especially since we had asked our guests to not have their phones out taking pictures so they could focus on enjoying being in the moment). Receiving all the images is standard practice based on the friends I have spoken to since this incident. When we expressed our point of view, Rob became hostile and unprofessional. While I'm sure he would explain it differently, it felt like he was holding our wedding photos "hostage" as he was the only one with the photos and could charge whatever he wanted in exchange. I tried very hard to come to a resolution, explaining that I didn't need him to spend any time editing the additional photos, and that he could leave a watermark or "proof" mark on them, so no one would mistake them for a finished product representing the quality of his work. We just didn't want him to delete all those wedding memories if we wouldn't pay him double what the original fee was. As I felt I had no choice, against my sense of what was fair and right I told him to send me an invoice for access to the images we had selected. We were charged an additional $3,644 (more than the original service!) to receive 1,021 selected photos that would be edited to what was described a highly-professional manner. This was just for digital files, and did not include any printed albums at all. He demanded payment in-full, up-front, before we ever received any final deliverable (we had only seen the low-resolution versions online that had huge watermarks across the photo). It felt like a real bait-and-switch. We were told that the images were all going to be professionally doctored to Rob's incredibly high standards, but when they were received several weeks later, even just looking through the first group, they did not look very high-quality to us. That same day, I wrote Rob an email asking about the quality and if there was another format that might be better for printing. I showed a comparison of a photo my father took on his iPhone that looked much sharper. Rob ignored my attempts to communicate via email, website contact form, and txt message. He answered a call from me eventually (I believe accidentally, not recognizing the number) and told me he was done with our relationship and I was harassing him, and I was unethical... all of which seemed a bit overkill for me asking if there was a better format he could provide the images. I did try printing a family photo, and the consensus of my family was that the quality was not as good as should be expected (nor does it match the wedding photos my friends have on their walls in much larger sizes). Rob was completely unwilling to work with me to come to a reasonable resolution. It ended up in court, where it was quite validating to see the judge reviewing the finalized images on Rob's laptop and saying things like: - Ooh... yeah, this one leaves a bit to be desired. - I'm not a fan of this one. - These are the unedited proofs, right? In the end, we were charged $6,644 for what was originally expected to be a $3,000 service, and never received any printed albums nor digital images of expected quality. I'm leaving this review to educate others about my experience so they can make an informed decision when selecting a wedding photographer for their big day. p.s. Rob and Jess radiate pure enthusiasm for what they do and it shows in the final product. Thanks to them, our wedding album isn't stiff or lifeless but full of real, candid moments. Everyone's emotions and personalities shine through every photo. Beyond their quality of work, they are just great people to work with. They are fun and easy but also dependable and professional. They are adaptable and quick-thinking--when I had forgotten to bring something, they fixed it right away. When the start of the ceremony was running late, they played the role of coordinator by being my point of contact with the rest of the wedding party. They even went above and beyond--even though the end of their contracted hours was approaching, Rob insisted that he had a few more brilliant shots to take, and those ended up being some of my favorite shots of the day. Working with Rob was truly a pleasure, from start to finish. I'm a planner with very high expectations and my wedding was no exception. Rob met with my now husband and I to show us package options and discuss pricing, etc. That was about a year and a half before the big day and Rob and I were in contact quite often throughout that whole time. He is very responsive and thoughtful in his answers. Throughout this process, Rob took the time to learn exactly what I wanted captured on my wedding day; people, places, moments, etc. On the big day, he and his staff were with us from 7:30am-11pm! They captured every moment from hair, makeup, getting ready, first looks, ceremony, cocktail hour, reception and more. Rob gave good instruction when needed and was great with the young flower girls, who can often a bit difficult to capture smiling all at once. More importantly, though, was that Rob knew exactly where to be and when to be there because he took the time to know me and what I wanted before our big day. This was definitely evident when we received the THOUSANDS of proofs! Rob and his staff not only captured every moment, but captured them beautifully. We are also very grateful he photographed our parents' remembrance charms and photos in a way that made it feel like they were with us there the whole time. He even helped me to create an image just like the one my mom had photographed on her wedding day. Rob's dedication to this project went beyond the proofs, though. He was very accommodating to our personal need to change our smaller parent albums into one larger album and worked with us the whole time providing recommendations on design. We were absolutely floored when we received our album in the mail. It's stunning and the perfect way to remember our perfect day!
