I've had more horrifying experiences than pleasant ones at the dentist, which include some pretty suspect procedures involving root canals and my wisdom teeth. So horrible, in fact, that I suspect that the previous dentists I've had probably have their licenses revoked by now, if they're not already in prison for incompetence and cruelty. Dr. Gorman and his staff have always been very understanding and have catered to my mistrust from bad experiences, and he's extremely knowledgable when it comes to recommendations on what you actually need. These guys will genuinely do what's best for you and your health, and that type of focus on the patient is hard to come by. Also a big plus for giving me personalized advice on preventative care. I'm finally on a daily floss/brush/mouthwash regimen that actually works for me and keeps my mouth clean and healthy. One more big plus because he's a big baseball guy, allowing me to have a friendly heated debate about something that isn't just about my teeth.

Dr. Sharpe noticed I had a couple other chips - 1 I knew about (when your parents tell you to not open things with your teeth - listen to them) and the other I didn't. The few days prior to the appointment - I had been suffering from a migraine - with its worst point causing me to call out of work and sleep all day/night. I came in - they took my blood pressure to make sure I wasn't going to die - gave me dark glasses, a blanket & a warm neck wrap. Before starting they gave me headphones to drown out some of the noise in the office & when my lip cracked a bit - she had the assistant put chapstick on my lips. Reading the reviews, I see this is a pattern for this dental practice. I came in as a new patient for a routine cleaning since I've just moved to the area. I was really excited to establish care here since it's close to me. I also was happy to have a lady doctor. My insurance is kicking in on February 1 so I wasn't open to any extra services quite yet. I just wanted to establish care, get a good exam and above all, a cleaning! I had made my insurance situation clear when I made the appointment and again with the assisting staff. Also, I didn't actually need more X-rays as I have them from my previous dentist, but they insisted. After all that, the dentist gave me a hard sell on 4 quadrant deep cleaning and a new crown (which I did need), but not on that day ... I didn't want to pay out of pocket given my insurance would be kicking in soon. My dentist was visibly upset that I didn't sign the expensive out-of-pocket treatment plan on the spot. She then spent maybe 5 minutes cleaning my teeth. Terrible vibe and a waste of time as I have to now schedule an actual cleaning somewhere else. What a disappointment. I think the dentists must have a sales quota. I will be reporting them to the BBB, the city and various licensing associations.

His staff is nothing but professional and kind. I am always able to get in when an urgent tooth situation arises.
