This is my third time using the service here and they are super rude, rolling eyes YELLING at us. We were waiting on our friend who has mobility issues but in site. It was exactly 6:30 so they saw our friend. As I turn to walk onto the ferry, they shut the door in my face. Rolled their eyes to our friends in the other side and ignored us. Normally I'd read these comments and think maybe people were rude or didn't understand that time is time but this was a complete lack of empathy and understanding over 20 seconds. They split our party and then ignored us after and push past us. Is crazzzy! We dont mind the wait but refused to let our friend off or anything. (It's their first time)

So I was stuck, because I didn't want to leave my car at the station. Which would have been Speonk, anyway, since I took the train into the city. Called Freedom Taxi, and Michael said that he could be there in 10 minutes. Told him that I had a small dog, but he was in a fully enclosed carrier. No problem. Uber and Lyft both charge extra for pets. Michael showed up and helped load everything. Very pleasant man, and when we got to the house, he very kindly lugged my heavy suitcase and backpack up the steps, He even called my dog, who was finally free of the carrier and running ecstatically! Michael gave me his card and said that I could call him from Calverton in future, and he'll be in WHB to get me. How very nice! While I do hope that my brother can pick me up next time, or maybe I'll leave my car at the station, it's very nice to know that I have an option. And Freedom Taxi was cheaper than both Uber and Lyft. Their prices were unreasonable for a short distance.

With just three guest rooms and plenty of space on the first floor and on the expansive deck, we felt very comfortable throughout our stay. And Donna was a wonderful, gracious host. She was very accommodating to our arrival and departure times, and offered thoughtful recommendations for restaurants and other things for us to enjoy. We had an especially good time taking her bicycles on the short ride to the nearby Kontokosta Winery and 67 Steps Beach. We would definitely stay here again when visiting Greenport!!

(And as an aside, for those of you who come here and need many hours of recovery from eating and wine tasting and other gluttinous pursuits, Donna is not strict about the time breakfast is served. Hey, this is a B&B, not a weekend in army boot camp, okay? And while Donna is the most generous soul, you had better respect her and the time and effort she puts in to making you happy! Or else you'll hear from me! ;) ) I CANNOT STRESS THIS ENOUGH: the greatest thing about this beautifully stunning old Victorian home is its keeper, Donna. The second you meet her, you'll think you ran into one if your best friends from way back! Her sweetness and generosity and ebullience and tremendous sense of humor are all showered upon you and the only thing you'll regret is that you have to leave. But you will tell everyone you know about this place and right after you leave, you'll be thinking about coming back. The fleet of town cars, suvs, etc. is new and immaculately clean. Most drivers carry magazines, water, etc. for their passengers. The drivers are professional, courteous and prompt. They know the East End and all of the ins and outs of the local airports. Bottom line, prompt, clean, courteous and safe.

The absolute worst airport transfer to JFK I have ever had. He made a pitstop at a gas station bathroom claiming he had to use eyedrops! People were beeping and honking at us as we constantly swerved in front of them. It was so bad my father-in-law offered to drive. We were actually frightened. While our return transfer was much better, neither driver offered to help my elderly in laws with their luggage in and out of the car. They were both tipped extra anyway. When we returned home from our trip and I called the limo service to complain, the owner swore to me that she would issue a refund right away. She not only didn't issue the refund but she overcharged me on both trips. I previously called to question the amount and had to leave a message. No one called me back. I was charged over $900 for round-trip transportation to the airport that actually endangered our lives! Never using this company again!!
