While testing, I started chatting with another customer and we had fun brainstorming about new drunks we could make with the product. The store is large but I liked the layout. The shelves are low and the aisles are clearly marked, so you have a really good view of what's offered and where it is located. I spent most of my time in the whiskey, rum, and tequila aisles and there were definitely fun new products that I had never seen, in addition to the classics. All in all, in my opinion this place is solid!

Another month, another sin run…read more.. Went on a field trip to the 'burbs with Jenn H. After discovering that Plainfield was NOT in Cook County and, therefore, not subject to its draconian taxes, I suggested we hit a place for smokes, thereby saving me $$$ that could be better spent on the restoration of Ye Olde Crack House. Jenn, being ever so helpful, suggested this joint. Sure, they have booze, lots of it. Although I was there for smokes, I did give the liquor a quick glance - it was there, they had a decent - if standard - selection, and the pricing seemed to be in line. That being said, the real reason to come to this store is the cheap smokes - 3 cartons of Camel Lights for $103 with taxes vs. the $260 or so you would pay in the city! Yup, that's another $150 in taxes Todd Stroger isn't going to spend giving his relatives a pay raise. Look at me, sticking it to the man and such! What a thrill, and a relatively cheap one at that. Nice staff, clean store, plenty of parking and you won't feel like you need to get a third job just to support your *still legal* nicotine habit. On the rare occasions I'm out in this neck of the woods, I'll be sure to stop back in.

Saw the high reviews here and stopped in recently. It's a decent liquor store, don't get me wrong,…read morebut the beer selection is fairly limited. You can find some good local beers from Three Floyds, Pipeworks, and Revolution but that's about it. Not the most extensive selection, there are maybe six doors of random craft beers, lots of Leinies and Mikes. The layout of the store is cramped. All these reviews rave about the owner, which seemed a little odd since they didn't say much about the actual store. I'd been a few years ago and it was your typical liquor store. The new owner seems to have cleaned it up, there was incense burning and the clerk was friendly enough. Score is 3.5 rounded up.
