The reviews were mixed, so I was somewhat concerned about giving them a try. However, I decided to go and avoid any of the issues that other people have experienced, such as "no large purses and don't bring your own bag". Lo and behold, when I called they had what I was looking for and for a decent price. The person who answered the call confirmed that they had a number of the product available, so I went the following day. When I arrived, I was still concerned about the visit. I didn't know where the product was located, so I asked security for assistance. He walked me to the product. I got the product and went straight to the checkout counter. It was a quick and easy visit. I saw another item for a great price that I would have purchased, but I decided to keep the visit short and sweet. It appears to be a well organized store with a large variety of items. I would possibly return for something specific.

Unfortunately, the experience was extremely disappointing. The salesman I dealt with was rude and nonchalant throughout the interaction. What was even more frustrating was that my prepaid order was apparently canceled without my knowledge or consent. I was not properly informed about the cancellation, and the way the situation was handled made the experience even worse. I understand that issues can happen with orders, but I expect customers to be treated with basic courtesy and respect, especially when there is a problem with an order that has already been placed. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. I hope Lax and Wine & Spirits takes this feedback seriously and provides better customer service and communication in the future. I did also see an open door to the left, and realized they are connected to the new Carolina Kitchen, Sea & Soul I have heard so much about him. We stepped into a lovely liquor store with beautifully curated displays, featuring specialty wines and spirits from African American producers as well as selections sourced from countries across Africa. I started coming here a few months ago. They have a drive thru and overall nice selection of…read morespirits. I came to pick up some bottles for friends and the weekend this past week. Thankfully I asked for a receipt because I noticed I was charged for a bottle of "Banana rum" or something at $13.99 but I got 2 of the same bottles ($11.99), but in different flavors and neither was banana (they were mango and passion fruit). I came back in to tell them and the lady at the register said "well, you've already paid for it so there's nothing I can do". i said "SO WHAT!" The lady scanned the PASSION FRUIT bottle again and it came up as Banana Rum something. Then I guess the guy Manager came over, looked at the receipt my bottles and went to the shelf to check the price. He had her give me $2 back in change. I don't know if they purposely try to rob their customers or what, but please ask for and check your receipts.
