Plan to spend over an hour just walking around, and you'll be sure to walk out with stuff you didn't know you need (like an owl vase) but totally can enhance your life in some minor way. They don't care about how bad they screw you. So we are now out$160 and no couch in our living room. What sucks is the couch we had before was from big lots and we had it for 6 years. However, we got it from Missouri at a store that is actually good.

Coco is the Worst Dollar General Manager I've Ever Dealt With - Lazy, Rude, and Straight-Up Hostile…read moreI walked into this Dollar General needing a bag of ice. Simple request, right? Wrong. The ice machine was locked, and the manager (who was just standing around doing nothing) refused to unlock it. Her single cashier had a line backed up all the way to the door, but instead of helping her employee or the customers, this lady just shrugged and said the customers could wait. I politely asked her multiple times to unlock the ice machine. Each time she flat-out said no. When I finally asked why she was such a terrible manager, she lost it. She started calling me names, threatened me, told me to get out of the store, and made me feel genuinely unsafe. All because I wanted to buy ice and pointed out how badly she was running things. Zero customer service. Zero leadership. Zero effort. This "manager" would rather argue with paying customers and make them feel threatened than walk 10 feet to unlock an ice machine. If this is how Dollar General trains their store leaders, they need to seriously reconsider their hiring process. Do yourself a favor and shop anywhere else. This location is a disaster, and the manager is the main reason why. Never going back.
