Wednesday is senior day for more discounts then look for the colored tag for that day and more discounts. I found a lot of high end things. They have name brand bags like Vera Bradley. Books,glass things clothes. Also art work pictures, and I don't buy Christmas things but they had loads of that. People were friendly. They have fitting rooms too. Was a nice little trip downtown. Been here 44 years and just enjoyed like a tourist.

No appointment required for taking things in to consign here. The owner, Debbie Fuller, and her staff are very knowledgeable. Ms Fuller is very hands on, especially regarding consigning larger pieces like sofas, coffee tables etc. She will review those kinds of items via email and respond to prospective consigners quickly. Items are priced fairly and there's a color code explaining daily discounts visible at the entrance. Items are often heavily discounted, I imagine to allow sales to move quickly. Lightweight shopping carts are available and designed to maneuver around the vast space which is very thoughtfully laid out and maintained. Brands range from no-name to high-end designer. Regarding clothing, if you want to consign here: be mindful of the season, inspect your things (this isn't GoodWill) and be sure that they're on hangers that you're willing to part with. Don't haggle when consigning, these ladies know what they're doing and they move fast. Talk of the Town Consignment is truly a destination in and of itself. To truly shop around the store, make time and rest up. One day years ago ... I stayed too long, was exhausted so took a load off on a recliner towards the back of the store. I fell fast asleep. This place was huge. I was impressed. It's one of the better thrift stores I've been in... in a…read morevery long time. It is also very organized. There's a separate area or in some cases a separate room (!) for each category of items. Most every area is clearly marked and even the shelves are marked as well. There are a lot of clothes -- women's mostly, but also men's. Prices are very reasonable. My girlfriend found two men's Hawaiian shirts for $1 each and a denim dress for herself for $3. But you might also find something a tad more expensive like the designer scarf for $10... but most clothing for a lot less. The house wares are on easily navigated shelves. Prices vary. But here, too, there were items I've seen in goodwill for 3 to 4 times the price. I was able to replace a Pyrex pie dish and a slotted silver plate serving spoon for under $2. There is furniture of all kinds. And at all prices. There was the most expensive item I noticed -- a gorgeous table with 6 chairs for $1200. Not that I was in the market for anything like that, but I actually saw a couple familiar with the maker oohing over it. There's a small book nook with hardcover and paperback books on shelves. Most are even sorted by alphabetical last name. Not in order exactly but all the b's are together; all the c's are grouped etc. ir made it much easier searching for a specific author. This is a store that thrift store shoppers (me included) would return to again and again... and I'm going to try to do so when I'm over on this coast.

Kim helped me find a ladies medium golf vest, Palm Beach, and a lovely blue with azure accents on black. I put it back on the rack and donated its full price as I have enough golf dress attire to impress the ladies at my Country Club. This beautiful place is staffed by all women volunteers to help hospice care regardless of their ability to pay. I have a whole closet full of men's clothes I am now willing to part with. New things I do Not need, but these lovely Ladies were the cure I needed To move on, and stay un retired.

My friend Amanda and I always used to go to Blackhawk coffee here. They had the best Frappes! Bell Tower also has a lot of adorable shops and random concerts on occasion. One time we stumbled upon a free Billy Currington Concert in the Bell Tower Parking lot. It was amazing! I definitely miss this place.

Melody, the owner will make you feel welcome, and will tell you about the people who made the items that you purchase. There's also a small shop behind hers that sells fair trade items for children and an art store. Do yourself a favor, and check this place out. The prices are good, and the Atmosphere is incredible. It's the first place I go when I need presents for people I care about.
