A take on an old fashioned. Very good with whiskey, lemongrass, and ginger. Very light and refreshing for an August evening. I could do without the red peppercorns in the drink though. Chicken samosa appetizer was excellent. Modern croquettes with goat cheese and fig jelly was excellent, although ask for double the standard jelly. Eggplant was fair. Churrasco steak among the best in the city. Service was unacceptably slow. Would have been a five star review except for the service wait time. Almost knocked it down to a three for the wait between courses. Not very busy and the only other couple eating outside a few tables down complained about the wait. Hopefully management works that out. Food good, service really slow. Come enjoy the food when you have several hours. We will return but only when we the evening to enjoy the food. I visit Sarasota Wine & Spirits a lot more often than I should admit. I live right between them…read moreand Norman's Liquors on Clark Road, where I used to shop. I buy liquor, wine and beer - and until last summer when I quit smoking cigars, I picked up a few cigars here too. The wine selection is very good. While I don't buy all my wine here, I am generally impressed with the selection and the prices. The wine cellar has a lot of good premium options - especially in Chardonnay, Cabs, French and Italian options. I wouldn't mind a wider variety of upper-end Spanish reds. There is also a very nice selection of wines outside the wine cellar, with prices lower than most of the local competition. My only beef is that the whites are often more than three years old. Whites don't age like reds, they just get old on the shelf. I always check the vintages when I'm buying, which is important at Sarasota Wine & Spirits. They also have a great selection of Scotch and other whiskeys. The service is good, not great. If you need help and ask, you'll get it. But the level of friendliness is comparable to your typical liquor store. I've also been given some recommendations that were not all that helpful. But again, it is fine. My only other suggestion is that they find a different loyalty program or work a little harder on recognizing the larger purchases. I rarely walk out spending less than $150, and often my bill is more than $300 (we entertain a lot). On several occasions, I've spent more than $1000 for our work parties or holiday parties. My discount is always the same - $5 off the next purchase. On a whole, I give a big thumbs up to this establishment for the variety, price, and quality of service.

Then at the end of the meal, I asked her if the tip was included because we were over six people, she said no it's not, when I read it on the menu. She took her card and then came back after a long time and the tip was on the bill already... I was not happy with the service. She did not seem to care about the customers. When I go back?
