This is the place for people who want traditional clothing, from seriously knowledgeable suit people. The kind of place that friends tell other friends about, fathers tell their sons etc.
They get loads of work from livery companies where their reputation precedes them, people going to smart dinners at Mansion House etc.
A person who does not know about good suit fitting will not be able to tell you are great, because the decor is so awful and not glamorous. I have to admit that without being shown there by a regular, I would have passed it thinking it was a just a crappy shop.
However as the story goes, the best cobbler himself has the worst shoes.
The sales staff seriously know their stuff about fit and materials, advice that is very valuable and how to measure for fit. All advice and skill that would not get from the superficial, vacuous, branded, less experienced sales staff in most other more ostentatious places.
They are good for both suit rentals and purchasing.
They are however more for traditional brands and tailoring and not so much over-the-top swanky brands.
They are also small, so if example their tailor is ill, they will be a delay with their alterations, but they are totally open about this.
For traditional suits this place is one of the best, but from the decor, without really knowing your stuff about suits, you would never know. read more
