Great spot to get to see early screening movies. Place is clean, they validate parking if you see a movie at their facility and are nice

Matter of fact, for such a violent movie as it already is, a head shot to the one dog would have been better story telling in my opinion.

After literally DECADES of driving by the Nuart and seeing people lined up for the midnight showing…read moreof the Rocky Horror Picture Show we finally made it! I don't go to the movies a lot because all the 1-2 screen theaters I like to patronize have closed and keep closing so any chance I get to see a picture at an independent theater like the Nuart or Aero I'm in! Given that it was past 11pm, we easily found free parking in a city lot a short 2 blocks away which is so rare these days.... both the finding close parking and it being gratis. Getting in was hassle free because we had arrived a bit closer to the start time so the line of people waiting to enter had already subsided. The restrooms were clean and the lines at the fancy concession stand were also short. The concession stand really impressed me. There area all types of snacks and beverages including a good variety of beer and wine. The seats are hit and miss and by that I mean you're either going to love them or hate them because they aren't the traditional reclining seats. They're velvet not vinyl and "sort of" recline. If you're tall you're going to love all the leg room. I would return to the Nuart to watch a movie, but probably not for the Rocky Horror Picture show because while I appreciate that a whole new generation is carrying on the cult following for this quirky film, I much prefer the wittier short call backs of yesteryear to the long drawn out dialogues of the newer generation. May the Nuart live long and prosper!

I've seen Julia Ducournau's Raw, Human Centipede 2, Wet Hot American Summer, Enter The Void, and others. Every one of those screenings have visuals in my mind I can play over and over. Wonderful times. I want to talk about my most RECENT experience. Opening weekend, Saturday night for GDT's FRANKENSTEIN 35mm. Packed house. Amazing popcorn. Good vibes. No bullshit. Great customer service! But let's talk about seats D1, and D2....my seats. That are directly under a fucking air conditioning vent. I'm a dude and normally I can take SOME cold weather but my god I haven't put my arms in my shirt in a long time. For its 2 and half hour running time that cold ass air was blasting right at me. Has this been anyone else's experience? Have people complained about this? This is in no way knocking the theater but my god I'll never ever forget watching that beautiful film and being tortured by 60 degree fan weather coming down onto me That being said...I'm watching WAKE UP DEAD MAN there this weekend and I am NOT sitting in that fucking section no way.

My son has been wanting to see Devil Wears Prada 2 and the first one is one of his favorite movies of all time. Personally, I don't like that movie but I went along with him. Tickets are $25 each and they have a $4 parking garage, but we were lucky enough to get a free after-hour meter on the street. It's a nice place and it seems like comfort is their top priority. The recliner chairs are extremely comfy and come with a blanket in case you get cold. You know how movie theaters are always chilly. Once you get settled, you can press a button that sends an employee over to take your order. It's completely optional. We got one small popcorn (light butter, $6) which was big enough for both of us. I like this idea of having the option of ordering and dining at your seat while watching a movie, but the reality is a bit different. It's kind of annoying to see the employees coming and going when someone needs a refill or places a new order during the movie. You can hear them talking and they can even block your view. It's frustrating when you are trying to focus. With that being said, I think it has more pros than cons. There are bars and bathrooms located across the several floors and the one we went to was exceptionally clean. I probably wouldn't go out of my way to come back to this theatre. I prefer something more standard like AMC or Pacific Theatres (RIP!)...

The first-floor lobby had no seating at all, despite the theater branding itself as a luxury, comfort-focused experience. I politely asked if I could sit for a few minutes in the empty restaurant seating area, which was completely unused at the time, and was repeatedly told no due to "policy." While I understand policies exist, I was surprised that no reasonable accommodation or alternative seating was offered for a disabled patron who was simply waiting for family. What upset me most was not just the lack of accessibility-minded accommodations, but the dismissive attitude I encountered from several employees and the difficulty I had even obtaining the manager's name. For a theater that emphasizes comfort and premium service, I expected far more compassion, professionalism, and awareness regarding accessibility needs.

AMC has done a good job keeping this place up to date. Nice seats, good screens and projection and sound etc. The food sucks and costs too much but that's part of the theater experience. The kind of popcorn that reminds you why people still show up early to movies. The theater layout is different and it works. Not the usual stadium scramble. Sightlines feel intentional. You're not fighting heads or craning your neck. Seats are comfortable without feeling like you're sinking into furniture you'll never escape. It feels thought-through instead of retrofitted. Staff energy carries the whole experience. Friendly from the door. Easy smiles. Quick jokes. They move with confidence and actually seem happy to be there. Questions answered without attitude. Help offered before you have to ask. You don't feel processed. You feel welcomed. Everything flows smoothly. Entry is painless. Lines move. No confusion. No tension. The whole experience feels calm instead of chaotic, which is rare for a movie theater these days. Parking is the only real hurdle here. Confusing lanes. Not enough signs. That moment where everyone in the car goes quiet and pretends they know where they're going. A couple wrong turns. Mild irritation. You question your plans for the night. But once you figure it out and the car is settled, everything shifts. Stress drops off fast. Walk in breathing easier. The annoyance evaporates. It feels distant almost immediately, like it never mattered. From there the night smooths out. Popcorn hits. Staff energy lands. Seats feel better. You're locked in. Parking becomes a footnote instead of the story. It's giving... temporary chaos before the vibe locks.

The staff members were fine, but certainly not the friendliest I've experienced. I must also comment that the service issues in the theater were less than ideal, so some sort of signage or easy wifi hookup would have been great (or at least friendlier stall to point this out and provide more patience while pulling up tickets...). Would we return? 100%. Our favorite movie theater experience in LA? Not quite, but I certainly prefer this over a mega theater corporation for at least double the price.

Surprised to discover such comfortable seats in a perfectly sized theater for about 50 people. It was like watching a film in my living room. Every place was roomy and had a great view! Despite the request not to text or use your cell during the screening, someone couldn't set theirs aside for a little over two hours, and the bright white light that emanated from it was distracting. People, please, have some respect and leave the room if you can't resist reading some inane text. Sound was on point. Devouring the windy and wet "Wuthering Heights," however, it felt a tad drafty, so dress warmly. The restroom was clean but outdated. Park in the public lot across the street for $5. Good to know there are still places to see independent films, though this movie wasn't really one of them.
