I had the best time at Lux Lagree Fitness!…read more From the moment I walked in, Adele greeted me so warmly and even gave me a sweet little welcome card. Such a thoughtful touch that immediately made me feel comfortable. I purposely didn't look into the class beforehand because I didn't want to psych myself out. I had zero expectations. I went with a friend and we had SO much fun. It was a full-body workout and somehow I tapped into my inner child sliding around on the machines I still don't know all the terms, but I do know it was a blast. Don't get me wrong it was definitely challenging... but I didn't die hahaha. And can we talk about the socks?! I'm usually a no-show sock girl, but they had the cutest long socks and I think I've officially entered my long-sock era. The studio itself is adorable and super clean...it really sets the scene for what's about to go down. Victoria, the instructor, was amazing. She helped me adjust the resistance and made sure my positioning was right for each exercise, which made such a difference as a first-timer. If you haven't tried this studio yet, give it a shot. You won't be disappointed!

Lagree is my favorite workout! I've tried all instructors thus far and everyone is amazing and challenging. Workouts can be difficult, will be sore (especially in the beginning), yet you get the adrenaline rush and want more. Lately I've been seeing Victoria, Sydney and Danielle more since our schedules have aligned and they are all so patient and provide modifications when I need them.

The instructors are exceptional, extremely knowledgeable, attentive, and clearly passionate about what they do. Every class is thoughtfully structured and always feels both challenging and rewarding. What I appreciate most is the consistency. Every single class I've taken has been fantastic, and the instructors do a great job offering guidance and adjustments so everyone can get the most out of the workout, regardless of experience level. Booking classes is also incredibly easy and convenient, which makes it simple to stay consistent with my routine. If you're looking for a welcoming studio with expert instruction and consistently high quality classes, Pure Form Pilates is the place to go. Highly recommend!

After feeling discouraged working with other local studios, I decided to reach out to Stephanie and…read moreI knew within the first ten minutes that I had finally found my home studio. I did classical Pilates in my 30s and absolutely loved it, but when I came back to it later in life, other studios just weren't delivering that same style -- which left me feeling pretty deflated. Stephanie changed all of that. The studio is cozy and intimate with four reformers, and her pricing is genuinely affordable. But what really sets her apart is her knowledge She doesn't just know Pilates, she has a deep understanding of muscles and how the body actually works, and you feel that expertise in every single session. Over a year later, I'm still going strong and so glad I didn't give up on the workout entirely

Before working with Sandee, I had seen several chiropractors, massage and physical therapists as…read morewell as an acupuncturist for my neck/arm/shoulder pain -- nothing helped and I was losing hope. I had an MRI that showed herniated discs and narrowing recesses on C5-C6/C6-C7. The Osteopath I was seeing started telling me about surgical options. I wanted nothing to do with that. I also didn't trust that this was solely disc-related. I was being treated by a local physical therapist (Dan Mangen), who recommended I connect with Sandee to try Pilates. I met with her and she recommended I start with Egoscue Therapy first, to correct my posture. This approach made sense to me. I agreed that poor posture and bad daily habits had been a factor to my condition. The Egoscue Method is NOT a quick fix and there are no guarantees. It takes dedication, consistency and hard work. Working with a certified specialist ain't cheap either, but I'm SO glad I tried it and grateful for Sandee. When I began with Sandee, I could barely handle the most basic positions or movements. The pain was severe. I noticed slight improvement after several sessions and once I started doing the my "menu" at home with increasing the frequency, I really started to make progress. After the 8 sessions, I still had some pain, but I also had hope again, because I could tell I was improving. I was able to sleep through the night and manage my pain during the day. Next, I started doing pilates with Sandee -- another new thing I'd never tried before. Pilates is no joke. It's humbling and quickly exposes your weaknesses (which is a good thing). Thankfully, Sandee is an awesome instructor who knows how to push your limits without jeopardizing injury. This has been the longest and most challenging period of constant physical pain I've every experienced. It took a over 5 months of working with Sandee, but I finally feel like I have my life back, and I have her to thank. I'm still doing my Egoscue "menu" regularly at home and have continued taking Pilates with Sandee. My flexibility and core strength have greatly improved. So many people have back, neck and shoulder pain. Lots of them end up getting surgery. I'm very thankful I was able to find a non-invasive option and avoid getting my discs fused. Clearly a lot of the back pain out there is a result of physical habits -- poor posture, sitting too much, looking down at our phones, driving, not stretching, etc. And if that's the case, then is makes sense that pain could be reversed by changing those habits and putting into practice the right exercise and movement. While spine adjustments might help in certain cases, lasting relief more likely comes from changing, or offsetting, the habits that caused the pain in the first place. For me, the Egoscue Method and Pilates appear to be doing just that.

I didn't gain excess weight, fit into my clothes up until the last 2 weeks and felt great. Labor was much easier and I was able to have the birth I wanted, which I credit pilates a lot for. I can't wait to get back at it post-partum!
