This shop is an absolute gem for anyone into Korean skincare…read more Blooming Cosmetics carries several of my favorite K-beauty brands (including Biodance, Anua, Beauty of Joseon, Medicube, and Mixsoon,) all in one place. It's refreshing to see such a well-curated selection, especially brands that are actually effective and highly regarded rather than just trendy. The store itself is a quaint little shop tucked away off Bellaire, easy to miss if you're not looking for it, but definitely worth seeking out. The employee I interacted with was friendly, approachable, and genuinely helpful (not pushy) just knowledgeable and willing to answer questions, which I really appreciate when shopping for skincare. Pricing felt average overall, with a few items leaning slightly higher depending on the product. That said, for the convenience of buying in person, knowing the products are authentic, and being able to get guidance if needed, it's absolutely worth it, especially when you're serious about taking care of your skin and not gambling with questionable online sellers. If you're into K-beauty or looking to upgrade your skincare routine with trusted brands, this is a spot you'll want to keep on your list. I'll definitely be back.

The girl had locked the door, so I knocked and showed her that the closing time is 9:00 PM. After we came in, she rushed us to pick our items. I was standing by the mirror trying some lipsticks to show my mom, and another girl came up with a vacuum and kept hitting our shoes with it. When we tried to pay, she gave us the worst attitude, saying, "Please sign. You don't see that?" She also scoffed at my mom, which was very disrespectful. This was one of the rudest and most unprofessional experiences we've ever had.

I find it similar to Daiso but with slightly higher prices and much more variety. This store is located at West on West (WoW) on Westheimer which holds several Asian-centric businesses like KBBQ, Japanese sushi, cake and bakery shops, and more. The store is quite large and the aisles are decent sized when it comes to comfortably shopping. You'll see lots of shoppers that come and go in groups whether they're family or friends, but all are very shop curious, as Teso has such a variety of items. It takes time to explore all the things but it is fun to discover unique items you likely won't find elsewhere. The aisles are very well stocked with sweet and savory snacks like cookies, crackers, chips, nuts, dried seafood, chocolates, candies, ice cream etc. They also have a huge wall of specialty drinks in the far back, where you'll also find things like 3D puzzles and toys that are not typical. There's also a row of claw arcade machines in the back so have your hand at the claw if you'd like. There's also a wide variety of beauty items that are Japanese heavy including face masks, mascara, fake lashes, hair dye, and lip sticks. Stationary that is cute and useful is also in abundance. Overall, it's a fun store to shop and stock up on some useful household items and some hard-to-find goods that are great for yourself or a gift to others.

It's located off Westheimer in the same shopping center as 99 Ranch grocery store, Lady M, and Paris Baguette. I stopped in while visiting 99 Ranch and was curious to check it out. The standout here is the selection of beauty products. There are at least two full aisles dedicated to Japanese and Korean skincare, including serums, sunscreens, and face masks. The variety is impressive and convenient if you want everything in one place. That said, prices aren't the best--you can often find better deals online or at other stores--but the selection makes up for it. Toward the back of the store, you'll find snacks and drinks like chips, teas, and bottled beverages. Prices in this section are higher compared to places like H Mart or 99 Ranch, so I wouldn't come here specifically for snacks. Staff were friendly and welcoming when we entered, and parking is easy with a large shared lot. Overall, great spot for Japanese and Korean beauty products, especially if you value selection over price. Just be mindful of pricing and don't expect bargain deals.

When I got there, I was greeted and offered help. The shopping space itself is not very large but is packed with merchandise. I liked the layout and how everything is labeled so if you are a beginner, you won't be overwhelmed or lost. The selection is solid - I wasn't super impressed but they do have some things I haven't seen elsewhere. Like Ben Nye powder in smaller shaker bottles and in a range of colors. I'm excited to try the 2 I bought knowing I didn't spend my whole check trying them out. I also got some facial mask brushes, facial cleansers, lip gloss and aloe vera gel. I'm happy with all my purchases/prices and if I didn't want to wait on shipping for an item, I would definitely return. I think it's a great starter place for someone who's just getting into makeup and doesn't want to break the bank at MAC or the like. It also has a great professional section with stuff I dare not even try! lol WINNER!!!

(I'll let it go lol) They carry a lot of the lower priced items as well as the more professional items. I love their bulk lashes. They have so many styles and they all look good. No doll lashes at all LOL. They will no longer be carrying Morphe products since Morphe is no longer wholesaling, but they are offering Crown Brush which is a comparable brand. The tester items are clearly marked with red tape and are clean. They also offer makeup wipes so you can clean off your tester hand. Go check this place out. You never know what you might find!

K Beauty Lab Houston Review: Real Korean Skincare, No Passport Needed…read more It started as a Houston facial visit... but turned into the most legit Korean beauty experience I've had outside of Korea. Why I went I was in Houston for work, fighting off travel breakouts and desperately craving some skin sanity. When searching I kept seeing Instagram posts about K Beauty Lab--not some Pinterest-y "K-beauty inspired" spa, but an authentic Korean-owned, Korean-stocked, Korean-run sanctuary that actually understood skincare. As a medical aesthetician, I've seen a lot of gimmicks, but something about this place had me intrigued. So I booked a session, hopped in an Uber, and crossed my fingers. What actually happened From the outside, it doesn't scream "skincare heaven"--it's located in a strip mall next to a UPS Store. But the moment I stepped through the door, it was like entering a different dimension. Maria (I think that was her name?), who checked me in, welcomed me like I was a long-lost friend and Cherry got me started with a full 3D Korean skin scanner. This wasn't your typical spa gimmick--this thing broke down my skin in terrifying UV detail and literally showed where I'd missed sunscreen that day. (RIP my aesthetician pride.) Then, after analyzing everything, they handed me a full printed report and revealed I had "blooming diamond" skin--cue the happy tears. They built a completely customized facial treatment just for me, using my results. Veronica (I think they was her name?), my esthetician, had trained in Korea I believe -- either way she knew her stuff. We did their signature facial, plus added in K-beauty booster shots, oxygen therapy, multiple masks, and even a gua-sha scalp massage that sent me into another plane of existence. At one point, I actually fell asleep, and I'm usually the person asking 400 questions about every ingredient. She explained every step--like why niacinamide and vitamin C shouldn't be mixed--and didn't push a single product. The entire experience was knowledgeable, gentle, and completely immersive. The Vibes Let's just say I walked out looking like I sleep 9 hours a night, drink chlorophyll water for fun, and have never heard of fried food. My skin was glowing, my breakouts were calm, and my soul felt... soothed. It reminded me of something I once said on @CassandraBankson yt: good skincare is about what's applied and how youre applying it. These people knew what they were doing--and they did it with heart. Mini Critique If I had to reach for a complaint, it'd be the distance--it's a bit far from central Houston, and if you're taking an Uber like I did, it's not a quick zip. Also, some of the treatments can stack up in price if you don't ask upfront, so just be mindful when booking. Logistics It's easy to find with plenty of free parking. They run on time (which deserves its own award), and while there's no WiFi or digital nomad energy here, that's kind of the point--you're here to disconnect. Don't expect a tech setup; expect tea, glowing skin, and a post-facial debrief that'll leave you feeling like a new human. Health & Safety The spa was spotless. Like, medical-grade clean. Tools were sanitized in front of me, the sheets were fresh, and even the air felt like it had been filtered through a eucalyptus diffuser in heaven. The bathrooms were clean, stocked, and had no weird smells. It was honestly one of the most hygienic spa environments I've been in. Verdict Would I go back? Without hesitation. I'd fly back to Houston just to lay on that bed again. If you're even thinking about booking--do it. Let them scan your face, heal your skin, and teach you something new. Already been? Tell me your skin type--did you also get "blooming diamond" or something else? And if you're curious how my skin turned out, catch the glow on ig @CassandraBankson.

I haven't yet tried any of the signature facials yet, but I definitely plan to next year! The skin analysis really helped me understand the condition of my skin and what it was lacking. I have since modified my skincare routine to better address the issues, and I have seen improvements between facials. However this is a double edged sword because sometimes I change too much at once and end up irritating my skin, so be careful with your new knowledge! Despite my constant convincing, my husband didn't believe in the power of skincare until he got a skin analysis here and was able to see all the "facts and numbers". Now I bring him with me to get facials at the same time with one of the other estheticians, and he really enjoys them too.
