First-Hand Experience: More info about my personal experience at this stadium - I've never seen a live match here unfortunately, but I have been inside once, been around the outside on two other occasions, and I've taken tons of pix. I think it's a great, grand old stadium, but the capacity is pitiful... only 3k people. So I'll keep it as a 3, especially since it has artificial grass (which I walked on! Yay! Don't tell anyone!). So when I was doing my first tour of Scotland in 2011, I also hit up every single stadium in the country. My obsession with footy (soccer to Americans) is the reason. Every stadium review - like all my reviews - are based on first-hand personal experience, usually from multiple visits. As recently as Fall 2014, when I was "stuck" in UK for 3 months, I went to most of them yet again while travelling. I have pictures of me at many of them, which I will post later. So watch this space! *** return to regular review *** Montrose have played here since 1887, and it's adorable because a bunch of houses back onto the field. It has artificial turf, and it can hold 3k people. Montrose used to rent the pitch out for livestock and grazing (hahahahaa), and their stand was formerly used at the Highland Games. read more
