I've seen home games here on 3 occasions including once when I was little, and I intend to come back here many more times and bring my girl here someday. I love it, I love how orange and intense and windy and cold and awesome it is. However, I can't give it that 5 stars. When I went back in 2014 most recently, I remember thinking... if they just fill in the corners and modernize it a bit, it could be one of the best stadiums in the UK. And so much less cold! Maybe one of these days. So when I was doing my first tour of Scotland in 2011, I also hit up every single stadium in the country. My obsession with footy (soccer to Americans) is the reason. Every stadium review - like all my reviews - are based on first-hand personal experience, usually from multiple visits. As recently as Fall 2014, when I was "stuck" in UK for 3 months, I went to most of them yet again while travelling. I have pictures of me at many of them, which I will post later. Dundee United play here in bright orange, which is why the whole stadium is bright orange. It's in the middle of a neighbourhood and it's really lovely here, watching games here is a thrill and the fans are fantastic. It's been in use since 1883. It is one of the best atmospheres in Scottish football and everyone should see a game here before you eat Haggis or Deep Fried Mars Bars. If they fill in the corners and increase the acoustics it'll get 5.

Dundee is quite divided, and the bitter rivals play just 300 yards down the road. Bitter because United are the bigger team by any stretch of the imagination. First-Hand Experience: I've seen DUFC play 3 times at home, and several times away, and I absolutely love them. They're my favourite team in Scotland (alongside Celtic) and they have shiny orange kits like the 1970s Holland teams did. I'm positively in love with the way they play in their swashbuckling side, backed by the Tannadice Roar. It's a crime that this stadium only has one review... maybe Yelp is not so big in Dundee. If you ever go up to Scotland and you like football, do what I did. Take a chance, go in the wind and the rain and sit at Tannadice and be amazed by the crowd and the team and the spirit of this city and club. I love this team a lot! Can't wait to go and watch them again. They play to 14k people, more than DFC, and they have a much sexier kit (orange). They are known as the Tangerines, or Terrors, or the Arabs - the supporters anyway. Not sure why. They play at Tannadice which means every time I hear Coldplay or Phil Collins singing about Another Day In Paradise, etc... I sing "Another Day In Tannadice." Ironically Celtic Park is nicknamed Paradise. They were originally Dundee Hibernian and they are the Irish (Catholic) half of Dundee. They were formed in 1909. Like DFC, they have only won the Scottish Premier once, and that was quite recently, in 1983, right around the time that Aberdeen were dominating. They've won the Scottish Cup twice recently, in 1994 and 2010. They won the Scottish League Cup in 1980 and 1981. They've been Scottish Cup runners up 5 times including 2005 and 2014. They were amazingly UEFA Cup runners up in 1987 and European Cup Semi Finalists in 1984. So a very storied history for this beautiful orange club.

The ice arena itself is well equipt and they offer a variety of classes for everyone from toddlers to adults. I particularly like the parent and toddler play groups her out on the ice as I feel that children are never to your to learn how to skate. Overall a great day out, vast improvment on the old skating on the kingsway.

The stadium was nearly empty and it was pretty cold, but it was my first footy match of the year during my tour and it made me very excited to be back at a game after spending so much of my childhood at games. The stadium itself is decent sized and is right on the coast. It's absolutely freezing to be honest. It's located on the coast and is a decent stadium with some terraces and a good atmosphere. It is, at least, a proper ground as far as Scottish Div 2 grounds go. It opened in 1925, and it's right next to the North Sea and one of the most freezing grounds I've ever been to.

It's an average stadium, it looks good, but could use a new facelift and to fill in the corners, so I'll give it a 3. First-Hand Experience: I've seen Forfar play away from home in Partick, and it was a great experience. I was rooting for the home side though, and the away team didn't do much. The fans were pretty cool, but there weren't many of them, and I don't feel a real connection to this team for some reason despite having seen them live in person and having visited their stadium twice. They play in blue and have done since 1885, and unfortunately this club has never won anything significant despite playing for a good 130 years. They are known as The Loons, so they obviously would be a perfect club for me to support. I want to see the laughing loony loon.
