No restaurant name signage, no flashing lights, just a portal that resembles a Japanese entrance gate from centuries ago, maybe the samurai era. But maybe, just maybe, some things are better kept in secret. Been here a few times, brought by a friend that has a local business around that area and oh boy, place is full of flavour, jammed with people during lunch (only open for lunch) and after you enter this magical gate it will take you on a Blade Runner kind of journey!
So, what's inside and what kind of food? Well, it's Japanese influenced Brazilian foods. So you'll find feijoada, salads, pork roasts, pork ribs, lasagna, nigiri, rolls, all these on their per kilo buffet, all these Brazilian food but Japanified (sp?) making it extra special because for one, less salt in everything, healthier versions, and have I mentioned the price? It's less than R$ 30 per kilo! Following suit, they fresh fry pastel to order!
Place is busy, food buffets, large fans with water spray like the ones in Texas to cool off, oh and if you'd like to have made to order sushi, sashimi, temaki and skip the per kilo crowd, there is a sushi bar tucked in the corner. read more
