Beware, strong caipirinhas! There was a helpful manager (I think his name started with an "L") with salt & pepper hair and glasses. He recommended dishes and helped translate with the cooks. Dessert is a la carte and not included in the buffet. If I wasn't so full, I would've tried the mile high apple pie.

The evening I decided to go, I arrived on a weeknight at about 6PM. We were the only people in the restaurant, and they almost appeared to not be open yet, but they welcomed us in and sat us. Because we were early, not all of the self-serve bar/salad bar items were out yet, but they were populating it as we were there so it wasn't an issue. They were very accommodating with bringing out meat just for us even though we were the only ones in this restaurant at the moment. By the time we left, a few couples had come in and been sat, but even at 7PM it was still not busy. All in all though, it was an excellent experience with excellent food and I wouldn't hesitate to come here again if I was in Guarulhos again. (It was my first time having duck hearts too! They weren't bad, but it isn't really a food I'd ever get excited over).

Yelp Review 2025 #167:…read more One of Latam's 50 Best Restaurants and Michelin Big Gourmand is A Casa do Porco or the House of the Pig. Aptly named since they raise their own pigs in a farm and they make sure they follow practices that are humane and sustainable. Feeding people with respect to the environment. They use the whole pig and nothing gets wasted. I made a dinner reservation a month in advance through their website. It was a simple process. I stopped by for lunch too and there was a line out the door for people without reservations. They do have a takeout window to the side of the restaurant if you want something like a sandwich. You can do their tasting menu or do a la carte. It'll end up cheaper if you did the tasting menu than a la carte. However, I have been eating my way around São Paulo and I knew I would be struggling to finish a lot of food plus, I had a 7am flight the next day. So, I ordered a la carte. I wanted the San Ze Pig (roast pig) but it's too much food. Torresmo de Pancetta + Goiabada + Picles de Cebola Roxa: Crispy pork cracklings topped with a thick sauce made with pickled red onions, and guava. You get 6 pieces. Definitely get this. It was crispy, salty and sweet. Sushi de Papada de Porco + Tucupi Negro + Ameixa fermentada: Pork sushi brushed with black tucupi (sauce made from fermented manioc which looks and tastes similar to balsamic vinegar) and fermented plum. It looks like unagi nigiri. You get 4 pieces per order. I was not given utensils. The items I ordered were meant to be eaten using your fingers. The interior and exterior seem very casual. There's graffiti outside the building and inside the restaurant. Even when you look in Google Maps, it doesn't look like it's a restaurant but an abandoned building. By the time I contemplated adding the San Ze Pig, I was already done with my meal and it was time for me to go back to the hotel. You can check out their menu on their website which you could translate to English to save time on making your selections. They also have menus in English if you ask for it. Service was great and helpful. It was nice light dinner.

It feels a bit classy and depending on what luxury cars you see in the front.... Do I start it here and say get the picanha? It's the rumpsteak. It melts in the mouth. That's all I'll say about the meat here haha. Came here for lunch and the price for the all you can eat was about $35-$40 USD. Yeah, you can bet my eyes were not looking at the prices. I was looking at the buffet setting area and I was surprised. If you do end up with the ayce option, you get to use the thing that lets the server know if you want more meat or not. The frequency and variety was pretty quick. (They had hump, short rib, bottom sirloin, rumpsteak, tenderloin, and sirloin). They also had some other items as well (a paella-type dish with long grain rice that was really really good, along with some skewered beef/lamb) If you are looking at the buffet, they have a variety of fresh fish. I opted for a lot of salmon haha. They have tuna and salmon ceviche, octopus as well. They have greens, salad, cheese, fruits here as well. Their signs are in both English and Porteguese, so no troubles here (although my eyes weren't focused on the signs). They have Coke Zero. They have a nice buffet with so many options to choose from (appetizers). I was warned by my colleagues - I need to be prepared for the meat and should not eat too much.
