As a matter of fact, after that first visit, which was so incredibly comprehensive and very surprising compared to other vets I have been to in the area, I will be seeing them for all of my pets' care for the remainder of their lives. I was also able to get in quickly, even though this was my first visit and I'm not an established patient yet. Emily, Darian, and Dr Morgan were super helpful and caring, and I loved the environment. I always ask about the cost of every test or procedure before it's done, as I don't like surprises. I'm sure it's annoying to staff, but they remain professional. We have had to put down a few pets, and staff were always compassionate (you do have to pay in advance, I assume folks - not us - have run out on their bills before?). Our puppy's recent spay/hernia procedure went over budget (they couldn't complete it in one visit because her temperature dropped), but they worked with us to correct her bill. At the end of the day, it's a business, and good vet care costs money. Very Happy with their services. Dr. Palmer is the best!

I called once, got hung up on. Called back again only for a very abrasive lady to answer the phone very nasty who barked "CAN YOU HOLD?" I asked, do you have any availability today? To which she promptly barked back CAN YOU HOLD! So I proceeded to wait for 5 minutes on the phone, Only to be hung up on when I asked the same question again, she insisted on not answering it and very angrily repeating herself. I have never had this much of a terrible experience trying to call a vet hospital, let alone any business for very simple details that could've been avoided with a simple "Yes or No" but was instead met with extreme Unprofessionalism. If they treat new patients this terribly I can't imagine how awful they would treat animals. I'd call or go somewhere else before you are belittled & waste your time here. It's a shame that this woman represents this business. This is the first negative review I've ever left on google. Note: called back to report this to let the business owner know this is how their business is represented. The girl i spoke with first was absolutely polite but im pretty fairly certain whoever I was transferred to was in fact the same person i had dealt with prior/the head doctor there. I'd suggest Eldersburg or Sykesville Vet before taking your business here.

A friend of mine recommended Dr. Hawkins and we've been in love with her since. She is knowledgeable , calm, and has an excellent bedside manner. We see Dr Charlene and all of the praise in the world would never do her enough Justice. She is just absolutely the most amazing veterinarian I have ever had for my animals. She takes the time to lovingly care for each animal brought in to see her. She reviews everything with you and you are not made to feel guilty if you choose to go a different route than what she's thinking. She is very open to suggestions. Wayne Heights is also inexpensive compared to a lot of other vets. My cat just had lab tests done and she immediately called us with results. She spent several minutes on the phone with us explaining everything and talking about the best course of action but also listening to our concerns. Together we came up with a game plan. Not only is she kind and caring but so are the people who work in her office. Laurie (one on the secretaries who I usually deal with) has to be the sweetest and most caring person as well. She is always polite, courteous, kind and also caring. And Jax (sp?) Is also one in a million... Wayne Heights is number one in our book and we are blessed to have found after the other horrible experience we had with another vet.
