They also stated that we would not be allowed to use the deliverables unless we paid a 20% "rights transfer" fee on top of their consulting fee. In other words, we would have paid for engineering work they didn't stand behind and wouldn't let us use. As someone with a background in civil engineering, I found their approach highly unprofessional and out of step with industry norms. A professional engineering firm would not shifts all the risk onto the client while retaining all control.

Joey explained that he would work with me as there were multiple ways we could make the wall comply with local codes if there were any issues. Joey was quick to get the deposit but slow on doing the work. After no work being done on the project by the deadline he gave me I followed up with him. Joey said "he talked to a guy" (which sounded like he made up) and he was thinking about engineering a footing for me to install around the entire wall. I told him this would cost me $10,000's of dollars and let's explore adding pillars, as we discussed, which would be much cheaper to construct. He became angry at this point and then offered 3 times, to refund my entire deposit. I wasn't sure yet what I should do at this point. I declined the refund after we spoke some more and he agreed to do what we had originally discussed, which was to explore the pillar option. Then about 10 min after our phone conversation, after reflecting on how angry he got and how he had lied, I decided to cut my losses and emailed him asking for the deposit returned in full as he had offered. Now his tune changed and he said he would return the deposit minus his fees. I called him and basically reiterated the same thing. When I told him that he said he would refund me in total and he hadn't done any work on the project yet, he laughed and said I was getting emotional and hung up on me. Joey then emailed me a fraudulent invoice , with made up fees, totaling $1,227.87. I would have left it alone if it was less than $500, but I couldn't allow $1200 to be stolen from me. I first went to my credit card company which was unsuccessful as they were unwilling to scrutinize the invoice, even though I had evidence proving it was fraud. I then went to small claims court over it, and was awarded a judgement of $815, which still hasn't been paid by Joey and Las Vegas Engineering. It has a statute of limitations of 7 years and is generating an interest rate of 10% a year, so I have time. I have attached my judgment I was awarded against Joey and Las Vegas Engineering. They have made countless mistakes throughout this process and expect us to pay for them. We agreed on the amount of $750 to come out for an assessment, followed by a detailed report of repairs needed, and if we decided to have their company do the repairs the $750 would go towards the cost of the repairs. John came out within a few days, took some pictures and said he would send the comprehensive report later that week. After a week of waiting we called them for an update to which his secretary said he would be unable to start writing the report without receiving payment in full. We immediately provided payment information and had to wait another week before we received a 1 page pdf document with illegible hand written random notes and drawings of where some additional nails should be added. When we called to 1) get clarification on what needed to be done and 2) align on the repairs that the $750 would go towards he wasn't available. After half a dozen calls, messages, and emails with ZERO response we are moving forward with a charge back. We also plan to report them to the better business bureau of Nevada.

I felt confident of his ability and expertise given that his inquisitive enquiries were so right on with the "possible issues" I had called him about. I also told him that time is of the essence with getting the possible issue, if any, resolved, and if he had any time soon to come walk-thru the property and do a visual inspection. He was accommodated my urgency. We scheduled and agreed to meet the next day, Saturday, Oct 26, the day after our initial conversation. On the day of the appointment, I called to confirm but no answer. I couldn't leave a message as his voicemail had not been set-up yet. I texted him twice as well. I called 4 more times after my initial call and still no reply to the text nor a call back. I would think that to be on the "Top 10 Best" on Yelp, that he would've earned that privilege through a proven record of a job well done and professionalism but alas, it is not so. Its a real shame to deal with supposed "Professional" who do not come through, or at least be accountable for their actions or lack thereof.

I made it clear that I would have transportation to the position offered, although one of the people had a car & said she would be the ride I still made it clear to the recruiter that my availability did not depend on anybody but myself. the other two people I was interviewed with didn't want the position anymore, also the position didn't begin until the end of the month. Anyways they canceled their pots & she took my name off the list as well then gave my position away. Once I called about details for the position all this information is sprung on me & I'm out of a gig due to her unprofessional behavior, I've tried to move past the situation & move forward with the agency but every time I call, Regina picks up the phone to argue with me about that situation, attempt to gaslight & rearrange the story just to not give me a job. she ain't stopping no bag but it's just weird that I'm not able to be treated fairly due to her not being able todo her job/ take accountability/ or even be professional & just move past the situation. she makes it personal & IT WAS HER FAULT I wasn't even going to write this but just to warn any future people interested in applying here just skip it I promise you what she offered wasn't even all that it was a two day position... but the fact that all of this happens behind it lets me know this was gonna be bs regardless
