We wanted to help set our son in high school on the right academic path so we signed him up at another C2 location in the area and to say we were unsatisfied with the results at the other location would be an understatement. There was no goal setting, accountability or metrics discussed to track his progress. Through a fortuitous set of circumstances, our son ended up at C2 in Vernon Hills for several sessions and we immediately noted a stark difference in how proactive and active the team was in helping contribute to our son's academic success. Needless to say we immediately and permanently transferred him over to Vernon Hills. We highly recommend C2 Education in Vernon Hills. Marcos and Josh run a tight ship and have an amazing team of tutors. Sage, Michael, Kevin and Anand have the academic pedigree that we all dream of as parents and the results to show for it. It is worth it. To get the results that are necessary to help your child get to where they want to be takes time and effort and C2 Vernon Hills are generous with both. He is so knowledgeable and is someone I wish I would have found earlier in my application journey. I am so grateful for his support! I loved having the whiteboard and he always sends the PDF of the notes that you cover in class. Stefan makes everything super easy to understand and very accessible. If you don't understand it, he will try to flip the concept on its head and reteach it to you. He is super patient! This has been my favorite test prep experience. My daughter liked using the Glencoe location for that and would also book hour long sessions with their tutors when she felt like she needed extra help. This location is too far to just drop in so we stopped our membership (and maybe will one day join their future near New Trier location when it's time for high school). However, I occasionally book tutoring sessions with their tutors. We've tried a bunch, but when it comes to math my daughter has enjoyed working with both Kyle and Young. She said they do a great job of explaining concepts and are fun to work with as well. They also always send notes the following day on her progress, strengths and/or weaknesses. ' Again, sad there's no longer a Glencoe location, but great to have a membership if convenient to get to for your middle/high schooler on a regular basis. If not, great option for on demand tutoring, which is what we've been using it for.

The tutors are super nice and helpful, and they make learning fun and interesting. The lounge itself is really cool - there are lots of bright colors and comfortable spots, which makes it cooler for kids than being at home. I've been sending my kids to The House Tutoring Lounge for a few months now, and I've already seen a big improvement in their attitude about school. They come home energized by having their work done and feeling like they've got a handle on school. I highly recommend it!

My first kid had trouble with reading and was tripped up in understanding word problems. We tried everything. We tried the school, we tried disciplining, begging, and bribing our kid to somehow get up to grade level. Not much luck. We tried private tutors. Ok, small success there but not enough. Plus, with private tutors - they are like unlicensed cabs. You don't really know who you're dealing with; I did not run a background check and I doubt many parents would do so. Then, OK, we tried HLC. Great tutors, great content, helpful staff. We saw a difference in short order. Scores improved and - to our shock - my child actually enjoyed being there. Long story short, I sent my second child to Huntington in Grayslake also. Again, good results. I very much recommend Huntington Learning Center. Despite being a nationwide company, they have a "local" feel that, I can tell, really responds to community demand as well as parent concerns. They are also surprisingly affordable and flexible with payment schedule. The one downside I will admit to - they aren't open Friday afternoons and there aren't enough closed doors/offices to control noise. It is one big open space. But, overall, HLC grayslake is very much worth it. PS. my kids introduced me to memes. So here's one!

Huntington has their own curriculum and does not match your kids school curriculum. Plus they ask for the school information and don't bother reaching out to them. They finally reached out when I told them I was not the middle person and they should be doing their job. Now I have a loan that I'm still paying for nothing. The test my daughters took at school showed no progress. the response I received is they are not done with their program. So pretty much I continue to pay with no guarantees. There school testing showed there was no progress. I told them that one of my child may have a learning disability and was told they don't specialize in that. If anything they should have offered to refund or try to negotiate something. I tried to get refunded or at least partially refunded and that turned out a no! We will not have our daughters attending there any more. I am very disappointed and would not suggest it to others. Save your money reach out to the school and ask for assistance. Huntington does not care, they just want to get paid. big sign if they are not will to guarantee, it should tell you a lot!

When we were in crunch mode, Paula came out to personally supplement the tutoring sessions so my daughter could get everything in that she needed. This program allowed my daughter the chance to participate in Spanish at her school and provided a top notch experience for our family!
