While we are thrilled with her academic progress, the most incredible part of the experience has been watching her build confidence in her math abilities. She now enjoys doing math homework and sees herself as "good at math". We are so grateful for Mathnasium as I am confident that they have helped change the trajectory of her relationship with math. I appreciated the time Varsity Tutors took to understand and use testing to determine where they needed help and to match them with the appropriate tutor for their personality and skills. My oldest daughter was able to raise her score two points from a 28 to a 30 and my junior will take the test this December. She is feeling much more confident and prepared since her tutoring sessions began in September. The only drawback is the cost. This is an expensive but effective option. I wish they had more competitive packages and discounts for repeat customers or customers with more than one child. I do appreciate their referral program though.

Chicago Home Tutor responded to my initial inquiry super fast, we had a great discussion as to her needs and her personality, and the fact that I believe she may also have some form of learning disability or adhd (undiagnosed but showed same symptoms her her diagnosed brother). Then they quickly identified a couple matches and one recommendation for a tutor and within a matter of days we had our first in-home appointment set up. The match was made so perfectly that my daughter has had great success in strengthening her math skills with her tutor.
