Everywhere you turn there's some unique item that catches your eye. I particularly love their selection of cruelty-free beauty products by companies like Pacifica and the eco conscious products in store. The downside is the cost for me. I spotted this store and thought it would be a good idea to have a look. When I walked in, I had an older lady approach me. She seemed so helpful and eager to sell me their product. I wasn't 100% sure that what I was buying was what I was looking for. Anyways, I bought it and regreated it right away. I felt I spent too much money on it and wasn't sure I liked the pattern up against my wall when I got home. Anyways, apparently their return policy is 7 days because on the 8th day, I tried to return this (never used) and I was shut down. They literally hung up on me when I called. I was devistated by the lack of customer service. It was almost as if she was just looking for my sale....once she got it, I didn't matter. I will never shop this store again!

They have been very upfront with me about their return policy so it encouraged me to take the goods home to make sure I'm happy with it and at times I have had to return or exchange things and they have always been great. Tables and chairs, place settings, dishes, wine holders, umbrella bins, candelabras, lamps, bath salts, soaps-- the list doesn't end. The store's vast collection of material goods is unified under a gorgeous Baroque inspired esthetic. The store is well laid out; however, it seems impossible to take it all in during one visit. There is an overwhelming abundance of things to look at, but an obvious eye for detail and decadence. Affiliated with Abby's Fabric Shop, the store also contains plentiful fabric spools to allude luxury. Bellissimo is rich and a gorgeous spot to explore. Their delivery is less expensive and a lot quicker than the big box stores, and they offer assembly as well as delivery services. The saleswoman, Jane was very cheerful and helped me pick out a queen bed frame, showing me all the options. The staff is very patient, and they spent a lot of time with me. Delivery was at a very reasonable cost, on time, and they navigated my 3-story building with NO elevators with ease. My couch and bed were assembled in 30 minutes, and they had my move-in so easy! Check out The Furniture Spot first if you need new furniture or a mattress- you won't find better deals or service anywhere else. Friends can't believe the pieces I got, and the prices I paid!

Or as my husband would say "it a place for hippies." They had lots of cool sterling silver jewelry from Thailand. The prices were quite reasonable too. They had lots of earrings and bracelets in the $10-$25 range. I really didn't look at much else in the store, but they had beads, wooden knick knacks, pillows, and clothing that looked like they were from Nepal, Indonesia and Thailand, among other things. I loved these kinds of stores in my middle school and high school years, but it's not quite my aesthetics anymore, with the exception of the jewelery, because I still love sterling silver, it's the most suitable metal for my colouring. I had a great time browsing their large jewelery section. I almost bought the cutest bracelet, but it was a tad too big for me :( Staff were very nice. I always stop by when I'm in Halifax to poke around a bit, and be reminded of my style as a teenager, lol.
