The quality of chocolate coming out of Asher's is top-notch and many people I know enjoy it because the taste of chocolate is strong without being overly sweet. The prices are quite reasonable. If you don't care about the presentation, you can buy the bags of loose chocolates on their shelves for a cheaper price. They offer seasonal specials and occasional sales, so it's wise to ask what specials they're offering that day. The store front is the main area to shop from, but you may be able to sign-up for the tours and view the chocolate production process yourself, which I've participated in and enjoyed in the past.

I am black and a local to the area and while this is already rude behavior to the average person I suspect this to be a racist encounter just because of how targeted it was and how they also tried pushing past me and asking if others wanted to be served and treating them nicer.
