I started the program roughly 3 months ago and I've lost 55lbs so far and I feel great, If you are reading this you or a loved one is over weight and looking for a solution. Don't wait another day. I kept the centers phone number on my desk for over a week before I picked up the phone. I wasn't sure what to expect, I kept wondering if they where another place trying to push their meals and shakes on you. Here's what you can expect.: *Gracieria will answer the phone and answer your questions. She'll schedule your first appointment and explain your first visit will take around 1 1/2 hours. (no rushing you in and out here). *When you arrive for your first appointment you will fill out your medical background. *Get weighed, *blood pressure taken *A fat analysis *A few other simple tests, like reflex etc. *Dr. Mayer will explain the nutritionall part of the program. He takes his time to answer any question you have. ^You will get your meds. (1 month worth) *Make your next appointment (once every two week) *Head out the door motivated knowing this is a program you can do. After the initial appointment, the rest of the visits are much quicker. You'll get weighed, & and few tests, blood pressure etc. Meet with Dr. Mayer and discuss any concerns. I used to go to Blue Med Spa in Sherman Oaks, and every visit there would take 1-2 hours. The whole experience always felt like constant upselling from start to finish, from the front desk to the injector. It just wasn't enjoyable. My visit today was the complete opposite. The office is beautiful and very welcoming. When you walk in there's chilled champagne, orange juice for mimosas, and a lot of skincare products displayed. I'll admit I was a little nervous at first because I thought it might be another high-pressure environment. Instead, everyone was incredibly kind and relaxed. I told Kelly upfront that I had about $450-$500 to spend, and she didn't bat an eye or make me feel uncomfortable about having a budget. She treated my 11 lines and forehead wrinkles for $300, after the receptionist helped me apply a $65 coupon that she informed me about at check out. I was honestly expecting to only be able to afford my 11s like I used to at Blue, where just the forehead area would run around $550-$600 and crows feet were always extra. The difference here was huge. Kelly was thorough, knowledgeable, and efficient. She explained what she was doing, listened to what I wanted, and never once pressured me to add anything or buy extra services or products. I was in and out in about 30 minutes. I'm beyond impressed with the whole experience and so happy to be done with Blue Med Spa. I was recommended to see Michelle Schirra from my obgyn, Dr. Zafaranchi as Michelle uses her office…read morea few days a week. Both parties said she accepts Anthem PPO in network. What a miserable time suck the whole experience with Michelle has been. 1) Michelle lures you in with tests that initially seem to be a few hundred dollars... to over $2,500 in non-covered tests and additional fees she charges to "read" tests. 2) Tests don't end up being covered because Michelle FAILS to complete insurance diagnosis forms correctly when the insurance company requests missing information and her thoughts and follow through is SCATTERED beyond belief. 3) Michelle doesn't know how to read insurance requests and doesn't respond in a timely fashion to stay within their request time frame. She lacks substance in her writing and communication- thoughts are scattered. 4) I spent months trying to fix Michelle's inability to complete Anthem requests and finally Dr. Zafaranchi's office saved me - which took weeks to communicate with Michelle who talks in circular fashion. She pushed me off everytime pretending to be working on cleaning up her missing information - only to find out she doesn't know what she's doing and doesn't actually complete forms. 5) In the end, the reasons I initially saw her for - fatigue, cleansing, immune questions NEVER GOT RESOLVED because she didn't finish my treatment and disappeared over disagreement regarding her responsiveness and ineffeciencies. Very unprofessional. **BE PREPARED TO SPEND $2,000 or more over tests she lures you in to initially believe are $400-$500 only to be tacked on with her reading fees, more consult fees, overpriced supplements she sells through her Fullscript portal for commissions and you pay again $150 for each talk to review progress. Basically a cash drain and time suck to not get to the bottom of why you went to see Michelle in the first place. I went for fatigue and all this did is require MORE ENERGY to deal with cleaning up her insurance mess... which is why she would rather charge cash for what you cam get done through insurance. My recommendation is to find an actual physician or provider that is professional, organized, can communicate honestly about total planning costs, can communicate in a linear fashion, and has experience using health insurance "in network," as these are covered tests which took me months to resolve. With Michelle, you will lose time, energy, & money and STILL HAVE NO ANSWERS. No follow up on supplements she doesn't keep track of with piled on billing and inefficiencies. By the way, she doesn't respond to emails because "she doesn't have time." This is LA, we can do much better.
