My Grandmother & Uncle are both buried there, I went there earlier this year regarding my loves ones plot that not only the grounds had weed all around it but also they had removed the flower cups by the head stones. When talking to at that time a "Liz Odgers" who was the office manager told me that there would be a $50.00 one time charge to keep and install the flower cup holder's for the grave sites, that was not there back in 1978 when we buried my grandmother. As last week I just found out about the owner and the closer.

I have several family members buried here. The park is not being maintain at all; there is No grass, the ground is as dry and hard as the desert. I tried to get water to put on my family's flowers, the water seems to turned off for the hole park. I went to the maintenance yard to get help there was no-one to help there's a Mobil home and pick up truck parked on the road out but no one answered. So I drove thought the park and was very disappointed. Headstones were laid pointing north, south, east and west making some of the burial sites look like mass greave sites, some headstones were leaning up against trees and some of the covers for those buried in the Mausoleum have fallen to the ground. I tried calling the office all I got was a recording. This park is poorly maintained.

Seen this pile of dirt since December and they still haven't fixed it.

My dad was recently buried here and all I can say is that this place is not in great condition. I get that it may take time for them to clean everything up but I don't think it's necessary to have that much dirt lying around and especially covering the tombs of others who have passed away. How are you supposed to locate your loved ones if dirt is covering the majority of them (this is the section located next to the entrance/office). We were told by one of the workers there that he wasn't going water the grass because it's a waste of water and it's only done once every 2 weeks. If I would've known that this cemetery was going to look this bad, I would've never decided to bring my dad here. The cemetery from across the street looks way better. The guy that's in charge of maintaining everything neat is doing a great job, unfortunately Lincoln Memorial isn't doing a good job keeping it neat. Point being, the workers there are so irresponsible, not satisfied with this at all.

I could write many things about this cemetery. I've no family buried here, none that plan to be. My…read moreconnection to this cemetery is strictly on a genealogical level. I've visited this cemetery now for the past 5 plus years almost monthly taking photos of markers so that I could upload them to sites Billiongrave.som and findagrave.com to assist a family who may be seeking their loved ones. Most times I go just to a section I plan to photograph but other times I get requests to take a photo and must go into office to get its location. Almost always the staff has been accommodating and assisted me in finding the grave location. I've also gotten help in uncovering markers that over time may have been covered by grass and dirt which they could have had me come back another day but did not. When they haven't accommodated me it's because they have customers and I totally get it, however, they have gotten back to me with my request. This cemetery did start with a fanfare from articles I read in newspapers from the 20's when this cemetery was founded. It was originally formed from a foundation that had a trust fund to upkeep the cemetery, it was designed to not only be a cemetery but a park where people could stroll among statues and fountains. The iconic organ that was specifically commissioned for the cemetery was said to be heard up to five miles away in any direction, many events were held at the cemetery involving the organ including many events surrounding the military and veterans. All this is now long, the organ sold off due to many issues with repairs, it's location that the elements took a toll on. There are no statues, one was supposed to include Teddy Roosevelt who the cemetery was named after. Like most cemeteries, the care lacks and most of the individual graves are left to the care of the family. When I do visit as part of my genealogical work I bring a broom now, cutting scissors or sheers, a couple of very wet towels or a spray bottle to try and clear away any debris, dirt that is growing or covering the marker. The military markers are specially cleaned out of great respect for their service. If you have family there and they currently are not reflected on sites findagrave.com or billiongraves.com contact me so I can photograph and/or add to these sites for prosperity.

I really regret purchasing from Roosevelt. I've had a problem with them taking my info since day one. I chose automated payments to be withdrawn from my account, I get a call every single month that I have not made my payment... I have given them my bank info prob about 6 times now. They do not fix the problem, instead they want to take the payment over them phone, which I do not have the time to be taking phone calls and paying over the phone. What an inconvenience this has been.

We selected this funeral home for our mother as she was under hospice care at our home in Gardena, so proximity was important as we hoped for a fairly swift process for picking her up upon passing. This was not the case, nor was the wait time accurately communicated. With young children in the home, it was very important to us that we were able to gauge this transition process and their miscommunication made it very hard. Their handling post-mortem seemed good. Their communication during the planning process was not the best, but manageable. Their process for hand-offs and coverage when someone is out was also challenging. As we approached the funeral date, we had questions about the services, her clothing delivery, etc. which I would have expected our primary contact person would have preemptively discussed with us, however we had to proactively reach out, leave messages, follow up, and finally was connected to someone able to assist. Their handling of our requests for special traditional dressing was handled with excellence and care! I cannot thank them enough for this. My mother looked so beautiful due to their team's execution of our wishes. The staff assigned during the both services were extremely helpful and caring. Their AV equipment is challenging to work with. While I was given options for the video montage, I had to meet with the director several hours before our service to troubleshoot it would project properly and the audio came through as expected. This took several tries and ultimately the options offered were not used. We connected my laptop to the system and projected from there. As mentioned, while we had a favorable experience for some aspects of this process, I would hope Lighthouse strongly works to improve certain areas of their service delivery considering this is a very difficult and vulnerable period for most people.
