Terrible service and they never answer phone calls and over charge you. I couldn't get them to pick up their equipment and after 2 months they did but kept changing my insurance. Very crooked if you ask me read more

I raised my rating because their customer service improved.

Take a look at these reviews. Don't take a chance on this company. Their accounting department is in a different state then their warehouse and supplies. They will hound you when you haven't gotton the supplies. They will charge you and you do not get the equipment. They have the worst customer service you will ever see. After you use them you will ask them not for a CPAP mask but a gun to shoot yourself. Once you decide not to do business with them they will still call you twice a week. Very aggressive sales staff but no service. read more

This company has very poor customer service. If you are waiting for medical equipment you may never get it they just don't care. They apparently do not like patience who are on Medicare they are not helpful at all and just rather you go somewhere else. Their Senior Management is also very rude and their parent company is located in Germany far from the United States. read more

We were transferred to Lincare when our insurance changed for my daughter's enteral nutrition supplies. The customer service in one sense is better than our former DME: they're polite, they return phone calls, they follow up. However, they never get our order correct, even when we give reference numbers for the supplies we use, they send us a lot of things we don't use because we have an NG tube, not a g-tube, and don't understand how a supply can be incorrect because it's from the same brand. They are primarily an oxygen supply company so they don't provide a lot of the essential supplies for tube feeding and because they're a smaller company, orders don't arrive very quickly and they often have to special order things. read more

What a clusterfuk Lincare is. I was having trouble finding a provider that accepts my health insurance so after quite a few turn-downs from other area companies, next up was Lincare. I was assured several times by their employees that Lincare would be able to take care of me and could work with my insurance. I told them up front that I needed a CPAP machine and supplies ASAP because of my job....truck driver. Each time I talked to them whether on the phone or in person, I STRESSED that this needed to happen ASAP and was told, "yes sir, no problem", more than a couple times. I checked in with them every 3-4 days just to make sure they were staying on top of things, and that there were no issues and, basically JUST DOING THEIR JOB. Each time I called I was either told that they were waiting on doctors paperwork (which I had to hand deliver because they evidently lose faxes on a regular basis), waiting on CPAP machines, their respiratory therapist was on vacation, Dayday's cousin had a baby, blah blah blah, it was always something....but even after the parade of excuses I was assured that everything was still a go and I was in good hands. Well, I talked to them last (Monday) and they were expecting their CPAP's to be delivered the very next day and I was first on the list to get one and that they would be in touch in the next day or so. Whew! What a relief! I finally get my CPAP machine. Well, it got to be Friday and no phone call from Lincare yet. Hmmm....I thought that was strange and maybe I better give them a call and see whats up. Well, lo and behold.....after a month of waiting on these people to get one simple task done, they SUUDENLY can't/don't work with my insurance!!! Are you f'n kidding me? It took a month to figure that out? To top it off, nobody at Lincare has called me about this, not one time....so if I had not called to see if they were doing their job, I would have never gotten a call from them. Ever. And I'd still just be sitting here waiting on a CPAP from Lincare for the rest of my life, basically. So.....as the guy that answered the phone was telling me all this I was IN SHOCK!! These people knew how important this was to me and they didn't care enough or possess enough customer service skills to even call me with the news. Also, they claimed to have sent/faxed all my info to another company here in town that supposedly accepts my insurance. Ok, I'm done with Lincare at this point so I call the new company to see if they had received a fax from Lincare. I already knew the answer, and that answer was no. So I call Lincare back, guy swears up and down that he faxed them my info. At this point I don't believe anything that anybody from Lincare says so I'll be going by later to pick up my paperwork and hand deliver them to the new provider. (Lincare is very faxing challenged, whether it be sending or receiving, see paragraph 2) I should've seen the signs that this place was not being run right. The office was a dump. Dirty. Outdated. Paperwork everywhere, on everything. It's obvious now the reason they lose faxes and important patient information. But anyway, the moral of the story here is STAY AWAY FROM LINCARE!!! If you have to pick a provider, do yourself a favor and leave Lincare off your list. read more

IMPORTANT FOR ANYONE STARTING O2 TO KNOW: Medicare contracts with O2 companies for 5 years, but only pays them for the first 3. The last 2 years of the contract, Lincare starts treating you like crap because what do they have to lose? You are tied in; if you want to change companies mid-contract, Medicare won't pay. Lincare takes forever to answer the phone, acts like your call is ruining their day, and will not set up a day or time of delivery. My father was in the bathroom when they came knocking, they simply left. It's been over a week and they haven't come back yet. read more

I have been with Lincare too long! Never have I done work with a business that is so unorganized, shoddy paperwork, left on hold and forgotten, promised product that never shows up and then is wrong, told they are awaiting approval from my doctor when my doctor sent them approval a month ago. I need a new supplier. I am at this moment going on 11 minutes on hold. read more

Just run - don't do business with them. Completely incompetent and unable to get you supplies consistently. And they never answer phone. Plan on at least 40 hrs of phone time per year. read more

I have been waiting for my CPAP supplies for about 5 months now. When I call to check the status I am transferred to different departments where I continue to wait on hold. No one seems to know what the problem is. In the meantime, I received a call from someone at Lincare asking me why I haven't ordered supplies in a while? I told them I have been trying but never receive them. She apologized for the problem and told me I would receive them in 10 days, that was over a month ago. I continue to have to wash the supplies I'm using and hope I don't get sick from bacteria by not having new supplies. I'll be looking for a new company now and will make sure I let other know about the service received by Lincare. read more

ZERO stars. Doctor ordered portable oxygen concentrator 10 months ago. Never received it. No one seems to know why and they keep telling me that they have to research it??? Then they don't call back. They have lost the prescription numerous times!!! I need 24 hour oxygen and now it's been 10 months without it! I am lucky to be alive. Today I told them I am calling Adult Protective Services because this is abuse. Tired of their endless excuses. Billing Medicare and not delivering. Today I had a fainting spell and NEEDED the oxygen. Not funny. They do not keep centralized records so they keep asking me who I talked to. read more

OMG. I submitted my prescription and all info that Lincare asked for February 3, 2018 and I am still awaiting a call to even see if they will fill the script for a CPAP machine. I have called several times and they keep saying they will call back. They do not. The only contact I have had is when I can reach them. Often, neither the Wakefield or Chelmsford office answer the phone nor is there an answering machine. I have moved on to another Medicare-approved provider. I cannot imagine how they stay in business. read more

Avoid completely! Go elsewhere! If you have insurance, ask your company about alternative suppliers! Switched insurance companies and had to go to new DME supplier for CPAP supplies. Stephanie did my intake, gave her complete information on machine and supplies, was told I had to come in office to sign paperwork, and could pick up supplies that day. When I went to the office, I was told by Mary the nurse that they don't stock supplies and they would have to be ordered. She became agitated I didn't bring in my cpap machine. Stephanie denied taking my info over the phone. I walked out, immediately contacted my insurance company, demanded new supplier, and filed a grievience against Lincare. read more

Worst company I have ever dealt with in my life. I won't go into detail. Have had basically same problems everyone else did. Trying to order cpap supplies for someone since July 2017. Still not done. This person's doctors office has also been calling. It's just unacceptable. I don't know how they stay in business. read more

I don't think they deserve even one star. I work at a doctor's office and ordering oxygen supplies from them is a nightmare. They are incompetent at what they do. Faxing patient information to them is useless as it goes into the void and can never be found again. Worst customer service. I'm sure nobody reads these reviews and nothing will ever be done to train their staff (or hire new people). This is a disgrace. read more

I find the customer service to be very poor. We received a call in December and it is now February and the issue has not been resolved as yet. Response is when they get around to it. Why bother to call with an issue if you aren't ready to do anything about it. read more

We all get that COVID 19 has caused services to diminish a bit- but when my 84 year old mother (who has 17 hours a day of at home care) contacted Lincare during business hours to advise that her concentrator was nor properly working - she had portable tanks also - they never responded - during the night - her concentrator broke down - she had to use portable tanks - very scary - the concentrator arrived late the next day - this is unacceptable - she was also advised she has to call every Friday to get a Monday delivery to replace any portable tank that had been used - well here we go again - she complied w/the Friday call - she has about 1/4 of a tank left of the 11 portable tanks in her home and she may have to go to the doctors today as she is not feeling well - no replacement tanks arrived yesterday - she has called/ been put on hold / I have called and I was put on hold...the secretary advised the manager is out of the office and she has to locate a 'truck driver' and would get back to me - if my mother is not feeling better - we will have to call an ambulance as she requires constant O2 just to get to the doctors....the tanks should have been replaced yesterday due to the Holiday on Monday - this is unacceptable - beware if you decided to use this company - read more

This is the company that supplies my liquid oxygen. I am suppose to have a delivery every 4 weeks. I need supplemental oxygen 24/7/365. If you have a choice of what company to use DO NOT USE THIS ONE. They have ONE delivery driver who does nothing but complain...I happen to live on the third floor and he doesn't like to bring the oxygen tanks up all those floors. When I first moved here and needed an emergency delivery after my Mom died, I was out making funeral arrangements when Johny made the delivery,(my 25 year old son was home) he filled ONE tank stating "HE WAS DOING ME A FAVOR BY DOING THAT, AND WOULD BE BACK WHEN I MOVED TO A LOWER FLOOR". That was 5 months ago, since then he has made the delivery every 4 weeks with much huffing and puffing everytime, two weeks ago he came and brought up ONE tank already filled and took away ONE empty tank..when I told him I have TWO tanks(which he knows having delivered before) he said "I don't have enough to fill another one, I'll be back next Sat" I told him he had to be here before 12. Well today is the day, its 11:27am and I'M STILL WAITING... Considering this is my LIFELINE this company is terrible, but it is one of the few that deal in liquid oxygen, if anyone knows of a better company please let me know. Got a call as I am typing this he is NOT coming today as he has run out of oxygen he will be here MONDAY after 1. read more

My doctor's office chose LINCARE for my CPAP Services and I think they are terrible! A rude woman named MARY called to inform me that they would be picking up my CPAP machine because I was not in compliance! No warning no conversation just put it outside the door if you wont be home was the message she left on my answering machine. I did not use it for a week because I had a bad cold and their for was not in compliance with insurance regulations of 70% use. Also they picked it up a week early before the 90 days was even up and when I tried to purchase the machine they quoted to me over the phone that the machine was over $2000.00. My husband goggled the machine and found the same machine without LINCARE monitoring your usage was only $576.30 so I told then COME AND GET IT AND I WILL BUY MY OWN ONLINE!!! http://www.thecpapshop.com/respironics-pr-system-one-60-series-plus-cpap-machine-and-humidifier-and-heated-tube read more

I have left 15 messages over past 5 days to verify if they received my fax from local Library. My Dad needs chair to travel soon. The answering service says she will have Manager call, relayed message as urgent but no one has called. I have left my cell & home phone. On Monday morning I'm calling my Dads Doctors Office & my Dads Insurance as this is Elder Abuse by Lincare. How can the Elderly count on this company for Respiratory, etc. care. My Dad I a & I am very frustrated. I have never written a bad review..normally its praise! Also, I called the Wakefield MA Office & they said they cant help as my Dad is not in their district. They also said their phones in Chelmsford Office was not working at the beginning of week & I said but today is Friday..My husband worked for New England Telephone/Verizon for 30 years..He said it should be fixed within 2 days. I have had nothing but positive experiences at Lincare in Wakefield, MA. As a health care practitioner myself, I have fairly high expectations of my own providers. Stephanie always handles my insurance issues adeptly and the two clinicians I have seen, Mary and Shirley, treated me very professionally and taken care of all my sleep apnea equipment needs. read more

What a horrible company. Been trying to get a CPAP machine for months. Insurance has approved the service months ago. Still waiting on Lincare. Been dealing with Stephanie - this woman should not work in customer service. My insurance company says the expense has been approved. The doctor's office has provided everything they have asked for, but Lincare keeps saying they don't have the right documentation. Avoid this business if at all possible. read more

Lincare is the worst company I have ever dealt with and I cannot believe that they are still in business. They are unorganized, incompetent and hostile. I am a registered nurse and very familiar with the healthcare industry. When I became a patient and had to deal with Lincare I was appalled at how difficult and unprofessional they were. They were such a source of stress for me (at an already incredibly stressful time) that my husband took over dealing with them. He became so fed up that he found a different oxygen company and we switched. Specific examples that led to my one star review: - Lincare never delivered the correct portable 02 tanks despite my calling to confirm the order several times - they often missed deliveries completely, just never showing up - they claim to only deliver on Thursdays (specified day for my area) even when they were making up for their error or missed delivery (trying to make me wait up to a week to have 02 delivered) -they were extremely difficult to get ahold of on the phone, I was constantly re-routed to the New York office because the local office didn't answer -on the rare occasions I could get ahold of them they always needed to call me back to answer my questions or rectify their mistakes and they NEVER called back, which led again to me chasing them via phone -they claim to had not received my physcian's faxes and prescriptions - the people working there were incredibly, unbelievably rude, astonishingly so - they offered no emergency/back up oxygen delivery system in the case of a power outage I am concerned for the elderly and/or other populations that can't advocate for themselves. This company is unsafe. I have talked to my pulmonologist about Lincare and have asked that he no longer refer his patients there. We switched to Apria and they have been an absolute dream! read more

So I had to order a walker rollator and I thought I would take a chance on Lincare. They arrived last Friday at my door unannounced with a walker that was meant for a 90 lb lightweight grandma and here I am over 300 lbs. Had to refuse delivery. They show up again today on Monday AGAIN with no phone call ahead of time telling me they were coming. I was sound asleep and woke up with pounding on my door. I don't answer the door for people I don't know so I just laid there listening to it. 30 min later unable to get back to sleep I got to check the phone to see what the heck is going on and sure enough its Lincare again. I refuse to answer the door until I hear from someone at Lincare telling me they are coming. Driver was out there a whole hour while I waited to get verbal confirmation of his expected delivery. I finally talked to the person handling my order her name was Melanie. I asked why no phone call ahead of time. She insisted that someone talked to me this morning essentially calling me a LIAR. I will never use Lincare for anything ever again. Totally unprofessional office staff. They are putting patients at risk for home invasion when they don't call ahead of time to set up an appointment for delivery of goods. They are dealing with sick patients and showing up at their homes unannounced is totally unacceptable. I'm putting in a complaint with Medicare and the Attorney General's office in Boston. BEWARE. read more

When Lincare called to set up a time to deliver my nebulizer, I was told that "he" would be there in "about an hour or two". After waiting 21/2 hrs, I left to go to the pharmacy to pick up prescriptions. While I was gone, the delivery person arrived. He must have knocked on the door and when no one answered he opened my door and walked right into my house. Luckily, my roommate heard him and came downstairs. He then showed her how to use the device, and had her sign in my stead...including the use/care and safety precautions that were listed, as well as the sales sheet. When I got home, I was appalled that someone would just walk into my house like that! I have called the 800 number and asked to speak to someone in charge to lodge a formal complaint. I'll be interested to see if I get a call back. My phone # was on the sheets, so there was no reason he couldn't have called me. read more

The staff at the Wakefield office is OK, but they do not return calls as promised. My biggest gripe is their home office billing department. I got a call from a Victoria in billing about 6 months after starting on their CPAP machine. She said that I had not paid any of my bills to date. I tried to explain to her that I never received any bills from them, but she would not listen, talked over me, insulted me and basically called me a liar and a dead beat. I hung up on her and contacted the Home Office HQ about the conversation via email. I never got a call or any kind of apology from them. Then when I mentioned the Victoria problem to one of the staff in Wakefield she said she knew all about it and Victoria had reported ME as being abusive! read more

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Lincare is incompetent, rude, promises to deliver, lies to us about the status of orders, and repeatedly fails to deliver on its promises. In the unlikely event that they successfully send us something, it's inevitably the wrong product which begins the cycle all over again. My wife and I use CPAP machines. Months will go by without refill/replacement part shipments arriving. (Our insurance paperwork is complete and not the issue. We've even set up "recurring" permissions to make routine shipments of replacement parts more efficient.) In order to get any promised shipment sent I have to call six or seven times across multiple weeks. Each time I call it's "oh, sorry, we'll get that to you in a week." Weeks come and go. I call again to be told rudely the previous call "never happened" or "I guess they didn't write it down." With an absurd amount of badgering, finally a box of parts will arrive. Only to discover they're not for our equipment, not what we ordered, and useless for our needs. The cycle of calls begins again. Most recently, my wife called daily for a week after a three month wait for parts. She requested nasal pillows, hoses, filters, and a mask, per instructions. Two weeks later a box arrived with half the requested parts. "Oops," they said when we called. It's been two additional weeks with no resupply. When I call I'm assured "We'll look into it and call you back." No call back yet. If I held my breath waiting I'd be dead ten times over. Our paperwork is in order, our insurance is in order, doctor's orders are clear, and all of this is in Lincare's system (they have no problem finding our accounts when we call and seeing what we need and are supposed to receive regularly). The curt and often angry response I get from Lincare seems to indicate that they are overworked, under-equipped, and/or simply thoroughly incompetent. We've given up on them. Avoid this company. Tell others to avoid this company. read more

When you call them they say they will call you back ,they don't. They put you on hold for ten minutes and they never pickup. Have been waiting since March 2016 for a replacement or repaired battery operated portable. LynnCare says its an insurance issue but, Insurance company says they have no record of ever being contacted regarding this matter 12/1/16. Customer service was once excellent but now it leaves a lot to be desired. Most of the time I call the phones rings many many times until it is answered by the answering service who takes a message and tells me someone will call me back and I never get a call back. Other times the phones just rings unanswered until I get tired of hearing it and I hang up. Delivery persons have come out when I was not aware that they were coming and vice-versa, they have not shown up when I have waited patiently for their arrival. Today 1/14/17, I have been calling all morning and getting no response. My home concentrator is not working. It has not worked properly for the past month and they just keep telling me to do "band aid" fixes over the phone to make it work. Now it is completely DEAD. I am contemplating now if I should call the Attorney General's Office, my local Representative or just a good Lawyer. I can not function like this. I need help. I need oxygen!! read more
