I am so happy I found this podiatry office. It was discomforting me to walk a lot and my toenail…read morewas lifting. I thought I had a fungus and was freaking out wondering how I contracted it. When I spoke to someone on the phone from their office they immediately told me that I did not have a fungal infection and to calm down. I was relieved but skeptical because they hadn't actually seen me. When I got to the office they were right, I had an ingrown toenail and it was so far in that it started pushing back. They removed the section that was underneath and that was that, a more relaxed walk. It's a great office. The procedure was fairly painless honestly the only part that hurt was the anesthetic injection. I am so thankful for them. I would definitely go back if I ever had any other issues.

I'm doing a follow up review for my plantar fasciitis treatment from East Ocean podiatry, under the…read morecare of Dr. Dean Dorfman. If you've ever suffered from chronic severe plantar fasciitis you know the hopelessness, frustration, despair, and chronic pain that greets every day. At one point I honestly was just feeling like please amputate my foot and just be done with this! When your mobility is effected, it has a domino effect on so many other areas of our life. For example with that kind of pain constant, I was no longer able to go to the gym. So then My stress level started increasing because I couldn't burn it off sweating it out. Then I started eating more food because I got stressed. Which made me put on more weight. Which made me more depressed. Which caused more pain on my planter fasciitis because I was carrying more weight on it and putting more pressure on the heel. Then I started getting more irritable. And my relationships started to suffer. I was not able to participate in recreational activities or even take a nice hike in nature. Which started to effect my sleep patterns. Which then started to effect my work performance. I think you get the picture. But I can tell you, after 6 months of almost weekly treatments utilizing a combination of the shockwave machine, special custom designed insoles, special footwear, and even CBD pain relief cream it created an entourage effect that ultimately healed my injury. Today I am happy to say I am 98% better! Dr. Dorfman was not only a Physician that helped alleviate the physical pain but he also helped alleviate my mental anguish. His personality and persona are very comforting. He has no pretension, and you really feel like you with a very close friend or even family member. He is authentic and sincere. When I lost hope, I put my faith in him. His whole practice is immaculately clean and his staff are exceptional. Every single one of them you can tell are grateful and happy to be under his employment. That shows in their attitude towards the patients. And also the professional environment means that you hardly ever have to wait longer than necessary for your appointment. Everything is very efficient when you get there. And it's a very warm and happy atmosphere. I especially enjoy seeing Candace at the front desk when I check in. She always has a smile and a happy glow! I'm so grateful for the healing! Truthfully if you're looking for the best and you value your mobility and ability to live your best healthy active life then I can't think of anywhere in the State of Florida that you're better off going to then East Ocean Podiatry.

The door was locked but a woman was sitting at reception clearly inconvenienced by my presence. She yelled that the doctor wasn't in and I said I just wanted to make an appointment. She got up in a huff and unlocked the door. I mentioned I left messages to make an appointment and she yelled at me that I had not. She hadn't even asked my name. Then she asked what insurance I had, and again told me the doctor wasn't in. Then she started going through the phone history to see if someone left a voicemail to make an appointment. I told her not to bother since I was there now and she glared at me. I then realized I needed to do her job and ask when I could come in another day. She asked when I wanted to come in and after I told her she said the doctor wasn't in that day. I left. I had heard Dr. Bernkopf was very nice and I figured he must be to put up with her. Shame.
