This was a big decision to make for me because it is my daughter and also because she wanted it to be a special event for both of us. (I originally was going to have it done with her, but I didn't want to take the 8 week hiatus from swimming for the aftercare. Ok ok, truth be told, I wanted her to get it done first to assess the pain factor.) Anyways, I talk too much....I called and pestered them several times with questions, even after thoroughly reading their website several times. They were friendly and informative every time. The studio is clean. They require a consent form for those under 18 to be signed in front of a notary. However, certain days, they do have one on staff; just call ahead. They are closed on Sundays and Mondays. Rich was very thorough at explaining everything and even advised me where to stand to get the best view. It was quick and easy. And according to her, minimal pain. So maybe, just maybe, I'll be back to get mine pierced.

This spot came up number one in the area I was in on a 24hr layover so I did a little research and knew in my heart it was the place to go and had the tattoo artist for the job. I had this little piece done by Drew Reyes and while I know it's small, sometimes those types of tattoos are the most challenging. He is really a great tattoo artist. I can't speak enough about his professionalism and artistry. I had a really wonderful experience. The shop itself is adorable. You can tell it's a true artist's spot. Clean, friendly, and in the most adorable strip mall from the 50's above a Cuban restaurant/ nightclub this place has all the good juju and vibes

Second tattoo from this establishment that the Queen Bee has been using for years. Jeff the owner…read moreof the place is a no nonsense guy who won't BS you and doesn't take short cuts. The missus won't go anywhere else and I can see why. She won't let anyone else but Jeff work on her either. Period. There are all kinds of designs hanging on the walls and in poster boards near the windows. Plenty of design books and body piercing jewelry in showcases also. Showroom is downstairs and the studio itself is upstairs in an old, raggedy building that's probably stood over 100 years in Ybor City. I don't like this neighborhood at all, but seeing Jeff is well worth the trip so long as it's still bright out. As I stated, studio is upstairs and is quite sanitary, clean and squared away. Lots more designs and pics up there as well. Jeff definitely takes his time and does stuff the right way. You cannot be drunk, zonked or stoned and expect ink here; he won't risk his craft for an idiot. He and the staff definitely view this as art as well as business. Most of the Queen Bee's work isn't from a design book but rather original. Mine is sort of in between the two but either way, they do it all here, as well as permanent makeup. Jeff certainly knows what he is doing and could probably get away with making more than he does, but he has a loyal following so why ruin a good thing? I love seeing the little guys of life do well!

I went here for my third tattoo yesterday (April 12th, 2018). I wanted to get a specific word and…read moresymbol that has a lot of meaning to me. I did my research into various tattoo shops in the area, and settled on Ink Wolves because I liked their portfolios on their website and saw that they had a lot of good reviews. I was a walk in client, and there were a few people ahead of me, so I had to wait awhile but I didn't mind. I am a nurse, so I took this time to examine their cleanliness. I watched to make sure that they were wearing gloves, washing their hands, cleaning the chairs, using sterile equipment, and that the ink was poured into one time use cups. I am happy to report that they passed my little inspection with flying colors. The shop is very small, but it is clean. When you walk in, you'll notice a couch, a loveseat, a couple of chairs, and a desk. On the right wall they have a lot of well organized "tattoo flash" (predawn outlines of tattoos), but it's obvious that these artists like doing custom work, and that's a good thing! Along the left wall as you come in and throughout the shop, you'll see paintings by the various artists that are for sale. Beyond the desk is the tattoo area, and there is a small private room in the back where they do piercings. They have a single stall restroom that customers can use in the back, just ask if you need it. The staff seemed very friendly and professional. They charge a very fair price for their work, and have a lot of GREAT discounts and deals frequently. My artist was Jelly (who is also a piercer), and she was wonderful. I had minimal pain and the tattoo turned out beautifully. It is my favorite of my three ta In short, I would highly recommend Ink Wolves Tattoo (and particularly Jelly) if you are looking for a good tattoo at a good price! PS: they own the smoke shop next door and will occasionally offer coupons for discounts in the smoke shops for their tattoo/piercing clients. UPDATE 4/26/19 I returned to this shop for a nose piercing in Jan. Once again, they did a great job! Brandy, the piercer, is very nice and gentle. She walked me through the process step by step. It's healing very well! Today, I returned for another tattoo. It's the Rebel symbol from Star Wars and I love it! Once again, the staff was friendly and were able to fit me in between appointments because my tattoo is small. As long as I live in the Tampa area, they have a loyal customer!
