I hired LimeWash Pros / Ben Lynch for Tadelakt-style decorative plaster work in our primary bathroom.
The contract amount was $5,903.36, and we paid $4,951.68 before the project was completed. In my opinion, and based on an independent professional assessment, the work was not completed to an acceptable standard. The finish had visible splotching, uneven color and sheen, visible patch transitions, and unfinished sanding/sealing/burnishing work.
After months of attempted corrections, delays, and missed return dates, I offered to consider additional payment if that was necessary to get the corrective work completed promptly, because further delay and rework would have created additional costs. Ben/LimeWash Pros then requested additional money before completing the corrective work. I was not willing to pay more upfront while the original work remained defective and incomplete.
Ben/LimeWash Pros ultimately did not return to complete the project and issued a termination letter. I obtained an independent professional assessment stating that localized spot repairs were not viable and that the bathroom required full re-coating to achieve an acceptable finish.
I filed a small-claims case in Dallas County Justice Court. The court entered judgment in favor of Joel David Dons and Kammie N. Dons and against LimeWash Pros LLC and Benjamin D Lynch in Case No. JPC-26-03245-51 for $4,951.68, plus interest and court costs.
As of September 11, 2026, the judgment remains unpaid.
