I have debated writing this review for quite some time. I realized I was doing others a disservice…read moreif they waste their money like I did. Since that time, I have had the opportunity to hire a more stable, professional photographer for the same type of setting and that is why I realized this needed to be done. While the photographer seemed to be enthusiastic about my family, I soon realized that the person behind the camera does not listen, take direction, or even try to understand what my family needed or wanted. She showed up with someone else and they both took pictures, but it was clear that her attention was not on our family. When we finally had access to our photos, they were so much worse than I expected. Not only did it take twice the amount of time to see them but there was no touch up and it showed that she was not paying attention. She was not responsive to emails or phone calls when I had questions about what we asked for vs what we saw. What we got was someone who has a hobby. What we paid for was a professional. I have found at least a dozen other photographers with comparable prices who did a far better job. My advice: don't waste your money. This woman is out to make a buck on a hobby without the experience of a professional.

We loved the photos we saw on JPG's website and their commitment to customers was clear from our very first conversation with Joe. We worked together to come up with a price/package that met our needs and chose Matt Bender as our primary photographer. Our engagement session gave us a chance to get to know Matt and for him to know us. When the big day came, we felt very comfortable with him and he (along with 2 other photographers) did a great job managing our family and bridal party for group shots. Many guests commented that our photographers were awesome throughout the evening. This skill should not be overlooked when you are evaluating a wedding photographer! In the end, we were thrilled with the quality and variety of pictures. The photo journalistic style captured the true essence of the day and there were a lot of really fun shots. To top it off, all of JPG's wedding packages include a DVD or thumb drive of high-res images with personal use rights - which means you have full flexibility when it comes to albums and prints. Bottom line: JPG brought the style, quality, and personality we were looking for at a competitive price. They were easy to work with from start to finish and we could not have been happier with the results.

We not only cannot recommend JPG, we would strongly caution against using them. In spite of planning together with the photographer and being clear about our intentions not to photograph the prep, we had to wait for them to set up after we were long ready. The 14 weeks from event to actual pictures were astonishing. Even more so after getting them and seeing just how little thought and effort went into their editing and "organization". Also - be prepared to be referred to your contract repeatedly. They will hold it up anytime you ask for something.

Major shout out to Amanda and Ashley…read more I came into my wedding photography adventure really nervous, as I had a very specific vision AND my mom recently had a wedding photography disaster (not Arbor Lane, far out of state). I explained everything to Amanda, our planner, and she set up a phone call for us to "meet" and really dive into our vision/Pinterest board, which included deeper and moodier editing, more editorial/cinematic look. We also knew we had a friend coming to our wedding who enjoys doing photography and wanted to ask if that would be okay, with it stepping on any artistic toes. Amanda was so helpful in assuring me that they understood the assignment, and that our friend was welcome! Fast forward to wedding day, and we get to meet Ashley, our photographer! In short, she was incredible! She grabbed our friend for all the private shots throughout the day and went above and beyond to include him, and was just so much honest fun to be around when things were going nonstop! Our photos came out STUNNING. Absolutely nailed our vision, and the compliments I have gotten on our gallery is out of this world. Our friends and family are so stoked about them, and I've even received random texts from my SIL that she "looked through the album a second time today and can't get over how great they are" All in all - you are in such good hands with Amanda and Ashley, even if your vision is a little different!
