Tom Kha Soup Crispy Thai Spring Rolls
Scout W.

Had a rough day and came here for a comforting dinner, and was not disappointed!! I had a bowl of Tom Kha soup with chicken, which was refreshing and cozy, and the Crispy Thai Wontons, which were rich in flavor and in crunch. The service was super friendly, and the atmosphere was perfectly chill after a hectic day. I can't wait to eat here again!!

We were seated immediately and our server brought water right away. We ordered green curry with chicken and a pad thai with chicken. Server brought over a complimentary spring roll and chicken broth soup. That was a nice touch as it was kind of a chilly day. The food came pretty quickly and both were tasty. Portions were just right for lunch. Our server was by himself and was getting busier but he didn't skip a beat. He checked back to make sure our food was good. He was pleasant and efficient. I asked his name - Ryan. He was very busy but handled it like a pro. The decor was authentic and clean, music level was just right. I would eat here again. Forgot to take pictures of our meal.

Let's start with the food... delicious! I had the Yellow Curry Chicken and it was very good. It's bland looking (hello yellow!) but so flavorful. Spice ratings are accurate so don't be a hero! This is not very spicy though, just enough. I also enjoyed the soup and spring roll (more please!). We had to wait for someone to acknowledge us at the front, but once we sat food was out quickly. Our waiter was great too. He even reminded us that gratuity was automatically added due to us being a party of six - which many do not disclose upfront. The ambiance was nice. The restaurant is not large and most tables are meant for 2-4.

Nice Thai atmosphere with a large variety on the menu! Delicious papaya salad, yummy green curry and nice twist on Pad See-Ew! Portions were really generous too!

Dinner on a Saturday night and there was no wait... the restaurant was fairly busy though. It's a long narrow space with a bar toward the back. Lots of Thai decorations and red walls making the ambiance quite nice. We started with the Papaya salad app. The portion was a little small, but the taste was excellent! It wasn't spicy at all and we were not asked if we wanted it spicy when we ordered it. For my main course I ordered the Chicken Pad Thai. I chose a 4 on their 1-4 spicy scale. The spice level was not super spicy but it was adequate. The flavor was good but I would say this version of Pad Thai was sweeter than most others I have had. The portion size was good. Our service was pretty good. Our server was busy and her tables were spread out all over the restaurant so there were some longer gaps between visits to check on us. But she was very polite and friendly. Overall a good experience and I would definitely visit again.

The pad Thai was a poor imitation. The lettuce wraps were watery and salty. Looking for Thai food skip this place. The service was bad also.

A small and well decorated bistro style restaurant. The food and service were excellent. A definite do over.

A bit pricey, but the Thai tea and chicken salad was great! Had the dumpling appetizer as well and was delicious.

Great Thai food menu and try to go there weekly. Spent 13 months in Northeast Thailand and food has…read moredelicate and delicious seasoning of that area. Fresh vegetables with all on menu. Fish dishes especially good. They also have glass noodles. Servers and owner Kim communicate well regarding menu options.

wow!! my family & i have had such a hard time finding a good thai restaurant in the upstate area…read more Thai Basil did not disappoint. we ordered the pho, the pad see ew with chicken, and the thai basil fried rice with beef. portion sizes were not too small but not quite enough to eat family-style (or maybe my family's just full of big backs, very plausible). The restaurant is tucked in the corner of a plaza (same one as Mon Amie & Gong Cha -- both amazing places to try as well!). Staff was extremely kind and helpful. My only issue is having to order at the counter and pay before eating. It's understandable if there has been dine & dash incidents before (i'm not sure if that's the case) but it's a disservice to your employees if they are being underpaid to account for tips. people don't tip before receiving service, that's just how it is. prices are a teeny tiny bit higher compared to the other thai establishments you can find in this area. but other than that, the space is clean & organized! the bathrooms are also well-kept. Pho: the broth was solid and well-seasoned/salted. no need to add any extra sauces to be honest, unless you want it sweeter/spicier. Pad See Ew (spice level- 5 out of 10): flavor was good! i prefer mine a little sweeter & darker -- meaning they didn't put as much dark soy sauce. spice level was good! will be a little too spicy if you aren't accustomed to spice; i.e. my little brother was dripping sweat haha. it was genuinely good though! i, unfortunately, have very high standards when it comes to food and i ended up eating the whole entire dish by myself so that tells you something lol! it was good enough! Thai Fried Rice with beef: solid umami and wok hei flavor. i would order again! i prefer my rice a little crispier but that's not a deal breaker for me. i've had church friends recommend the creamy tilapia so will probably get that next time! overall, we had a good first experience. as southeast asians, this is a place we have added to our small list of "we'll be back" restaurants.
