To me, it seems like it would be the prototypical cut they teach in any school ( i know i don't have much style, but whatever.) The stylist at BDB was friendly and seemed to fully understand exactly how I wanted my haircut. Except they didn't follow any structure, didn't take any time to see that the work was uniform or even and more or less didn't care. What should have been a very routine men's cut turned out to be completely uneven in many areas and lopsided overall. In what i though would be a value ( $30) is now going to turn into a pricy cut overall because I now have to go to another salon to fix the errors. I guess i'll just walk around self-conscious for the time being. +1 star for general friendliness (although it doesn't matter much when the cut was worse than worthless.) Note: I hate giving negative reviews (just view my profile for the amount), but every once in a while they are justified. Lo siento.

I can't believe there aren't more reviews on here for this place!…read more I have been coming here for years specifically for the blow dries. For $35 any length and GHD curls for free you really can't go wrong (especially when you have "extra" long, thick hair like me). I have never had a bad experience with any of the stylists and I can recommend them if you're looking for anything from a basic natural looking blow dry to a glam Saturday night style. You always walk out feeling like a million bucks. The other thing is that they are nice and quick, I like being able to know I will be in and out within an hour (often closer to 40 mins). I have also had my hair cut and coloured (full head of blonde foils and toner) here and was very happy with the results. If you're looking for a great value blow dry I don't think there's any better in Sydney. The blow dries I've had here are leagues ahead of ones I've had from some other mid range and expensive salons like Brad Ngata (and a load cheaper too!). Do bear in mind though that it's not the sort of place that serves champagne or complimentary coffees, but if you want a head turning blow dry without the hit to your wallet, this is the right place for you.

At the same time I understand the circumstance of working in long time is not easy. When I get hair by 'H' hairdresser, she was trying to communicate with me even she felt annoyed because I couldn't decide for my hair style in soon. It was alright but since I spoke to them in Korean she kept saying 'oh your hair is quite stuck or sticky, haven't you wash your hair probably? ' and 'Haven't you dry your hair probably?' (In Korean) like critic my hair condition? I felt embarrassed, inconvenienced and bit of unpleasantness. I wasn't unsure this is normal the hair dresser talk to their customer like that or is it because I spoke Korean to them. At the end, my hair became 5cm shorter... that what I wasn't expected to be... all I was ask to trim and styles it but earlier the hairdresser ask me to cut it shorter without asking length. I regret said yes for that... also at the end of my hairs wasn't been cut nicely it looks really messy. My hair tail looks worst... Like a cheap broom...Really sad...this is my worst part for being as wedding guest... (My mum.. she was mad about this..) The price was higher than what they told me when I book through the phone. I kept remind them my hair length which longer than my shoulder, they said it'd be around $60 or something then today I paid $77. I'm afraid the hair cut wasn't good so it was too pricy for me. Personally, I really disappointed their quality been lowered than before. After today I rather go to another place. The only good reason for this salon is located in Town Hall (city) which save your time if you have any occasional plan in the city.

I have ethnic hair and 24 inch extensions, and she washed my hair gently enough so my extensions didn't tangle. I had the option to upgrade to the high end Keratase shampoo for only $5. No other salon has given me that option. I like that they use only top quality products like GHD hair straighteners. Anne used the GHD to make beautiful waves in my hair... The waves are still present 3 days later... This is my 2nd visit, I'll definitely be a loyal customer! I love this salon....

I love the concept of this beauty bar...walk in, walk out, no appointment necessary but you can…read moremake one if you want. If you need an urgent blow dry, manicure or any other beauty emergency, this is the place to go. The place is an open salon within the Grace Hotel, so a passerby will be able to see you getting some of the treatments, but this is reflected in the price, which is quite cheap for Sydney CBD. I was having a crappy day so I came here on my lunch-break for a quick manicure. And it was nice little distraction for my mind. I'm yet to try the other services available but I get the impression that this place is a no-nonsense beauty bar, excellent for last-minute beauty needs. For example a no-wash blow dry is $15-30, which is really cheap! Excellent alternative to a day spa or beautician.

I have to say I am extremely upset with myself for falling for this new internet gimmick. The set-up is pathetic, shabby and unprofessional. You were running 10 minutes late. I thought the whole point was quick for the 'time deprived professional'? Then you have the gall to charge $60 for the crappiest threading I've ever had. And I've had many... The whole drawing on my face telling me what I already know to cover for the fact you know they won't look good, was shameless. I've paid less than $60 for a proper professional, nice room and actually someone who greeted me on arrival. Your on-line / iPad system is a gimmick, plain and simple. The fact you won't even take bookings over the phone is ridiculous. This sham will not last and I will be sharing my experience with everyone I know.
