"....express luxury blowdry experience"? Express, yes. But luxury it was not. Who are these other women who are posting positive reviews online about a great blowdry experience and even used the word "relaxing"? I'd like to use THEIR stylist because getting a blowdry/style should be relaxing.
My hair's getting longer and is now becoming more work for me, so why not treat myself? I noticed the salon once when walking in the neighbourhood. It's near my dog's daycare/clinic and easy parking. Reviews were very positive. I have my own stylist for cuts and colour but not always easy to get into so I figured this place was perfect for a quick fix. I used the online booking system which works well. Last Friday was my first appt. Washing my hair was a bit rough, not relaxing at all. The blowdry technique, again, a bit rough but i was really happy with the style.
I decided to book again for Monday. Was given the same girl. Same jerky wash and blowdry. After, I asked for her to spritz with some spray and she used Final Net. Hey, I'm not a premadonna but I actually didn't even know this still existed. Both visits, not very warm and friendly. Didn't seem like she wanted to be there.
3rd time's a charm? Answer: no. This time, I booked for the last appt today. Same girl again! Really?? I figured maybe it just takes a while for her to warm up so I decided to give her another chance. When I walked in, I wasn't greeted with a smile. She seemed very rushed. It was the WORST experience. She jerked my head in every direction. Painful. I'm actually a bit mad at myself for not stopping her. She was also quite inquisitive as to why I was there again. She was more oddly curious than she was making conversation. "Weren't you here earlier this week?" I said "Yes". On Monday". "And you're here again today? Are you going out tonight?" She would ask me to turn my head a certain way but when she was yanking my hair with the brush, of course, my head would move so she then would push my head back where she wanted it.
And, I read, from another review, that the salons use Kerastase products. Where were those? Again, not that I'm a premadonna but...... So not worth it. I'd rather pay more to get treated like a customer should be treated. Very disappointed. Won't be coming back. read more
