This is an all plant base restaurant. They have all the Puerto Rican specialty and some other Latin…read moreand American popular dishes. The restaurant is spacious with colorful and expressive art all over the walls. You're hearing Latin music in the background there's a large bar in the left corner. The menu is big, there's so much that you would want to try so go with the big party. Your offered three different styles of plant proteins when you order your traditional dish. We had the Pasteles, Mofongo, ALcapurria and Sorullitos. Everything came out hot and fresh. The Mofongo was out of this world. And I make Mofongo. The Alcapurria was delicious of Smith's first time having it. The portions are large enough to share. Or have leftovers. You are so lucky to meet the owner. The super friendly gentleman he gave us the backstory of why he started this restaurant. Changing his diet helped him recover from cancer. And it was about the way he ate. So he wanted to share this opportunity with meat eaters. So the whole goal of his restaurant is vegan food for meat eater so they can see that they are not missing anything. The owner also is a famous DJ. He has a talk show radio. And he's been doing it since the 70s. It was a lovely experience my Bestie found this restaurant for me. Because I'm a vegan/sometimes pescatarian. I don't get to try all the foods. It was such a lovely experience.

Hello, my sweet tooth lovers!…read more While in San Juan, Puerto Rico, I had to stop by Drunken Cookie, and let me tell you... they did NOT disappoint! And yes--they even serve liquor with the cookies! I enjoyed a little shot of RumChata to go with mine. They have so many different cookie flavors, but these were the ones I wanted to try: Cookies & Cream Chocolate Chip Nutella Churro with Dulce de Leche Brown Butter White Macadamia Nut I had actually seen someone else visit this spot before, so I knew I had to check it out for myself. Since I make a trip to my favorite island every year, it was definitely on my must-visit list--and I'm so glad I finally made it! Every single cookie was absolutely delicious! They were soft, moist, packed with flavor, and not overly sweet--just the perfect balance. Every bite had me wanting another! The service was amazing, everyone was so friendly, and the ambiance was such a fun, laid-back vibe. So, if you're in the area or planning a vacation to Puerto Rico, do yourself a favor and stop by Drunken Cookie. I promise I won't steer you wrong! Go show them some love--you can thank me later! #DrunkenCookie #SanJuanPR #PuertoRicoEats #CookieLover #DessertLover #SweetTooth #FoodieFinds #PRFoodie #TravelEats #WorthTheCalories

I don't normally leave reviews, but it was so so bad I need people to heed my warning and not let…read morethis place rob you of what a good breakfast bakery in Puerto Rico can be. The good thing first- the line goes through fairly quickly considering how busy they were the day I was there, Sunday July 19, 2026, and parking was plentiful. Service was fine, cleanliness was good. The bad. Way overpriced for this region. There are plenty of bakeries in Puerto Rico offering the same things at half the price. The worst. The food quality sucked. Jugo de China Natural usually means squeezed to order. It was squeezed ahead of time and served with ice without being asked. Fresh squeezed orange juice is best served room temp. A good one will still be a little foamy on the top with very low acidity Ham and Cheese on Mayorca Bread- a staple of PR breakfast. Traditionally served pressed with a little powdered sugar on top that caramelizes a little because of the pressing. This one had a ton of floury tasting powdered sugar on the top and bottom of the top and inside the top and bottom of the bread, not normal at all. And for whatever reason, mine was served with the insides of the bread out side but I saw others that weren't served that way. So strange. And the ham was oddly pale. Also, no knives or forks to be found, so the extra sugar was extra confusing Quesitos- I ordered 4 to take out. I should not have. They went straight to the trash. The dough was severely under baked and soggy yet the filling was dry and crumbly without barely any sugar on top to offset the cream cheese. Arroz con Dulce- overly sweet and watery. Also went straight to the trash. Should be a little thicker from the starch of the rice combining with the sweet milk as it cooks. It tasted like they cooked the rice separately and then added cinnamon, evaporated milk and a ton of sugar without heating it. Not even a hint of vanilla to be found. For $44 dollars before tip. It was straight disrespectful to tourists and locals alike. I hope they improve because there is nothing worst than a popular spot resting on the laurels of a good location PS- The Habichuelas Escabeche were good.
