Not sure if it was an off day but my gel removal was so bad that all my nails broke off afterwards. Unfortunately the lady did not know how a lot of things worked, she reapplied the gel removal polish so many times (proper way to use it is to coat the gel thoroughly and let it sit a while, but instead she covered thin layers over and over again). At the end, she drimmeled my entire nails just to remove the gel, my nails got so thin at the end that all my nails broke off this has never happened to me in my life! I am so sad. Also the owners 2 kids were around the whole day which was quite distracting not only for me but the technicians because theyd pause the treatment several times to talk to them or take care of them. Overall, the price here is very low compared to prices in proper seattle area and unfortunately there is a reason why. I don't recommend this place unless youre ok getting your entire nails drimmeled down. read more

When I first came to Lilly's, I was on high alert and sus since I am very peculiar about nail salons. They need to be clean, and consistent, especially given how expensive it can be to get your nails done. I'll admit, there have been a few negatives and I understand that other people reviewing have had bad experiences. Between people's kids running around when I'm trying to relax, or some of the tools or work areas not being very clean, I would typically run and try another business. However, my nails turn out absolutely beautiful every damn time I am serviced. I have not had incredibly long waits, but I don't get my nails done when I am on a time restraint. I'm lucky they are able to take me quickly when I do go. Again, I can see some others frustrations and so far the quality of the work has been great and I will continue to be a return customer. However, DO NOT come here if you are on a tight deadline. Seriously. Don't have a wedding to go to in an hour and a half then come here for a mani-pedi. This place is always busy, except for possibly Mondays and Tuesdays. Come here with the mentality that you are here to relax and may have to wait despite having an appointment. If possible I will give 0 stars this time, this is the third time I visit this place and the very last one too! I went yesterday for pedicure ONLY and as always the owner offered me manicure too so I decided to get it done since I will be going to vacation and you want to look beautiful, I was the only one there around 2:00pm and two ladies were taking care of me. After 15 min phone started ringing for appointments and I believe the owner who was doing my powder manicure started taking the calls and scheduled appointments for 3:00pm I clearly told her I only have one hour for my pedicure but she said do not worry I can do your powder manicure while the other person works on your pedi .... Long story short she was not able to finish within an hour her 3:00pm appointment showed up and she ended doing the most awful power manicure I ever had :( nails with bumps uneven and fat !!! I think my nails will look better if I would just buy press on nails at target for 7 dollars instead of paying this lady 45 for powder + 15 of shellac which also she never mentioned I was going to be charged extra for shellac she just said manicure 45 and pedicure 38. As advised always ask for total prices before doing something second if you see they are rushing do not stay quite and tell them to take their time I should done that but I was with very limited time too that I just decided to leave but as you see I WILL NEVER COME BACK HERE So owner you lost a client that will give you 100 dollars a month for a full set client that will pay you only 60 I will recommend to do not take appointments if you are working with someone already or scheduled appointment at least with 1 hr 30 min space so you do not rush clients like you did with me yesterday thank you! read more

I used a Living Social deal to get a shellac manicure and a hot stone pedicure. I left a message the day before during business hours to schedule an appointment for the following day, but didn't hear back, so came in at 9:30am when the salon opened. I was the only one there, and though there was some scuttle about me not having an appointment (I was the only client in there), and whether my living social deal would be valid (something about it being valid because I was a new client?), they agreed to see me. Both women doing my mani and pedi did a wonderful job, and I am sad I didn't catch their names because they were gentle, thorough, kind, and did a beautiful job. I have been going to Lily's Nails for years. I went at the end of April for my first pedicure in over a year. Great pedicure as usual. I made an appointment for last Wednesday and when I got there I noticed that the people were different. I asked if they were new owners and they told me yes. My pedicure turned out horrible. My nails were cut way to short and the lady doing my pedicure never spoke to me at all. She also used something sharp to go into my cuticle on the side of several nails. Because the nails were so short you could see that the top of my toes were dry and cracked which she did nothing about. The three toes where she used the sharp instrument were red and swollen when I got home. I called the store as soon as I got home and took a good look at my toes. The response was I'm sorry but your nails will grow and she probably thought you had ingrown toe nails and that is why she used a sharp instrument to remove. After some back and forth she offered me 50% off next visit. I said that would be months away and I would like a refund. She told me her manager would be in touch when she got back from vacation. No call. So maddening. You go for a relaxing pedicure and end of like this. The point isn't that my nails will grow or that the redness and swelling will go away. . read more

Now that I've been tested, and know I don't have any STDs from this experience, it might make a funny story. "Maybe it's not as bad as it looks", I told myself, staring at the old, dirty waxing equipment. It's my 3rd Brazilian, at my 3rd salon, trying to find my new favorite esthetician. Spoiler alert, it's not this place. She was 20 minutes late to start, even though I was her first appointment of the day. I laid down in the robe, she dumped baby powder all over, and hardly spoke a word the whole time. Fine, I don't like to talk while getting hair ripped out of me, we'll leave that be. What I will not leave be is the following: no prep aside from baby powder (not even wipes to clean yourself up a bit), skin-burning temp wax, unless she decides to occasionally blow on the wax (can you say saliva?), the same tiny strip used 5-10 times over, and here's the real kicker: the same lone wooden spatula used the whole process. That's right ladies and gentlemen, that means we share STDs in this salon. When it was all said and done, I changed back into my clothes from the provided robe, dodging the window peering out to the lobby. I'm tall, sure, but that thing was chest level on me and I'm not trying to show off titty to the general public; not that modesty seems a factor there, she did open the door multiple times while I was spread eagle in the middle of my wax. Ouch, ew, and oh the horror. My friendly OB/GYN is gonna hear about this one. Save yourselves, ladies. This place ain't worth the groupon. read more

If I can give a zero I would. So many strikes: 1. Unprofessional - We called before coming and they said, they can accommodate us and surprise surprise..they couldn't!! 2. Extremely rude - got irritated very fast and spoke rudely when we asked questions about service! 3. Unsatisfactory - the entire duration for the pedicure ranged between 10 to 12 minutes. Did not clean enough, did not massage enough. Extremely unsatisfied!! 4. Discrimination - we were a group of Indian women. And there were some Americans who came in next. Ridiculous discrimination shown between us and them. We were treated poorly. They were received better, treated better and even the duration was longer. All in all. Was wishing for zero stars, but HAD to give an extra star due to the extremely personable and friendly staff. A huge issue I have with a lot of nail salons is that they ignore you they didn't here. I absolutely loved being able to talk with them and the rest of the people in the salon. Absolutely lovely. Unfortunately, they did a terrible job on my nails. I went for their dip nails and I asked for a dark purple. It's hard to tell with the powders but they actually gave me a dark red. It wouldn't be that big of a deal because it does look good, except, they look like s***. The first photo shows the top coat... they let me leave like that! I didn't run into anything, it dried that way. Again.... she saw it, and didn't say anything! I left because that was the result after TWO HOURS!! I left because I have other s*** to do! Second photo is after a few days. The top coat is coming off. Third photo... under the nails.... ew!!! I can't wait to go get my nails fixed somewhere else. I called in last minute to see if they could do a shellac pedicure. The lady said they're pretty busy but ended up letting me come in anyway. Even though they were busy, they had me seated in a pedicure chair fairly quickly. I could tell they care a lot about the quality of their service and pay attention to every little detail. It has a very zen feeling here and they take their time to really focus on each step of the process. They're friendly and speak very kindly and gently. I really like Sam and the staff but, my manicure and pedicure need to be redone less than a week after getting done due to chipping. Maybe they don't think the clean the nails enough before polishing? I have tried 3-4 times and it is either my toes or nails that fail to last the 2-3 weeks like at other salons do. I did a powder manicure when I first posted and that worked well, but I don't want to do powder because it is too thick for my liking. I went into Lily's Nails for the first time today to get a full set with designs. I brought a picture of the design I wanted. Lily added her own touch to the design and it turned out even better than the photo. She did an excellent job with the acrylic nails. It wasn't too thin or too thick. She made it look very natural. She took her time and was very detailed in making sure my nails turned out beautiful. Lily is very friendly and talented in what she does. This is my go-to salon now. If only zero stars was an option. My sister and I made two appointments: one for her dip powder manicure and one for my pedicure. We arrived a little early because my sister and I both wanted to add an extra service to our appointments. I presented a Groupon to the manager, which offered a pedicure AND manicure at a discount, and asked if there was time to add a second service to my appointment. She said yes. In the middle of my pedicure, the manager gets very close to me and whispers, "We don't offer a shellac pedicure for this Groupon offer, but I will allow it for you." I was so grateful for that, and made sure I purchased the Groupon there after. After my pedicure was finished, I was told to wait. My sister had received her pedicure and was now receiving her dip manicure. I asked her nail technician about my manicure, and the manager butted in to tell me that they didn't have time for me. My sister and I were there for TWO HOURS and they had accepted walk ins. I asked the manager what I was supposed to with my Groupon, since the offer includes two services, and she acted like she didn't understand, and went ahead and charged me full price for a mediocre shellac pedicure.
