A friend of mine and I stopped by here today, and the experience was awful. We were planning to buy…read moresome plushies and some stationery, but the employees kept following me around the store. At first, I thought I was imagining it, so I deliberately walked to a different area to see if they would continue. They did. They tried to cover it up by constantly asking if we needed help. Within about five minutes, my friend and I were asked three separate times if we needed assistance. They also kept pretending to straighten merchandise and put items back on shelves right next to me while watching us. It was obvious what they were doing. My friend and I got so irritated that we just left without buying anything. It was clear we weren't welcome there. It's sad because I used to come here all the time in high school and throughout my 20s. I don't know what happened to this place, but they clearly racially profile their customers. You would think a store that sells so many products promoting inclusion and progressive values, especially in such a liberal city, would hold itself to the same standard. This is covert racism, and I will never be coming back to this establishment. Do better.

We brushed it off but shortly after we heard her scolding an employee for allowing my grandma to utilize the restroom then going inside startling her. I can only assume your lack of accountability and rude behavior afterwords is a response to me asking about veterans discount when I first came in so if that's the case I will make sure to reach out to my local VA about your discrimination toward disabled veterans.
