I think we waited 2 minutes before we were seated lol. I had seen this restaurant once before and totally forgot about it until we were in the area and wanted seafood. The hubby is not a big crab boil fan so he usually opts for a fried seafood dinner. They have your usual menu items....pick your preference of seafood, seasoning and spice level. It was cheaper for us (myself & the cubs) to get the family platter instead of individual meals. Let me tell you something!! It did NOT disappoint!! Food was prepared fresh and very flavorful & plentiful. We decided on the Big Bang with a medium spice level. Our server was very nice and friendly and didn't mind answering a few questions and making sure our food was to our liking. Per usual, the hubby ordered a shrimp and fish platter which was also a nice portion. This is a great restaurant, so much so I have recommended it to several people!

Service is quick and friendly - the young ladies really were on their game at getting you situated and taking your order. Food came with the right amount of time (shows that freshness without making you wait too long, and delivered as promised. I foot the Maryland crab cakes and dries, it was good. Pricing is fair, food was tasty and the service was sweet, I will be back! I imagine this place is hopping on weekends/evenings. The atmosphere, vibe and food would ensure people line up.

You can usually seat yourself, and the staff greets you promptly. They offer a full bar, house-brewed tea, rotating desserts, lunch and dinner options, and TVs with closed captioning so you can catch a game or trivia. Their seafood selection is excellent, with oysters and other items served fried, steamed, blackened, grilled, and more. They list the origin of their shrimp, clams, and oysters on the wall, and the chalkboard specials change depending on where the oysters were sourced that day. The "Greggah" lobster roll was perfection--a generous portion of chilled lobster in their signature sauce on a top-cut, buttery soft bun. The slaw served with it was creamy, cold, fresh, slightly sweet, and had the right tang. The sausage and potatoes side was one of the best staples from this restaurant group. A later snack of fried clam strips and fried oysters showed the same quality. Everything was freshly breaded, flavorful, and cooked perfectly. It came with hush puppies, coleslaw, and a house-made tartar sauce that was spot-on. Another visit included a house salad with homemade ranch and the double-decker crab cake sandwich--two fresh, in-house-made crab cakes stacked together with coleslaw on the side. It was outstanding. Consistently fresh seafood, friendly service, clean atmosphere, and reliable quality make this Shuckin' Shack location a solid choice whether you're in town briefly or a regular local.

That being said, my server was very friendly and attentive! I ordered the Cappy's Roast and it was a good portion of food. I agree with others that the shrimp is not very flavorful. I do think the just boil it up and then season it after the fact. I found myself de-shelling them all first and adding Old Bay to them before eating them. The oysters were pretty good. Not top of the line but definitely passing and delicious. The corn on was NOT dry but also was not seasoned at all, nothing a little salt and melted butter couldn't fix. The drinks, on the other hand, were strong and super tasty. Definitely "bar" is their strong suit. Overall I say this is definitely worth a visit and the prices are fair on par with what you get vs quality

First, about a 10-15 min detour from 95, free parking, cute little area with restaurants and a hiking trail. Restaurant is beautiful. Staff are efficient and friendly. Made great recs. Food is fairly priced and most importantly delicious! The owners are at the restaurant, the chef Ed, who's also from Philly! Came out to speak to us. His wife Yalem is beautiful and brought us to our table. We would highly recommend to anyone! I'm going to have to come back because they sold out of the peach crisp :(

They have a big space though there are also a lot of chairs and tables around. Food was good. The brisket was tender. Options for sides include mac & cheese, collard greens, string beans, broccoli, Spanish rice, potatoes au gratin, baked beans, coleslaw, fruit salad, corn bread, yams, french fries, etc. The coleslaw and baked beans were also good. For desserts, we enjoyed the bread pudding and peach cobbler. Would have given this place a 4/5 for food but service was really bad. Food took a long time to be served. This we understood because it was really a busy day. Because the cloth napkins smelled like rancid oil, we just asked for paper napkins. This took ~30 minutes before we got some. We also asked for some condiment. Since no one was checking on our table, we had to stand up and approach one of the staff to follow up on this, not once but twice but some vinegar never came. Though our server Gracie acknowledged and apologized for the bad service, service was still crappy and disappointing.

This place isn't just a restaurant, it's a tradition. One of the waitresses (Ms. Marie!) has been there for at lea 25 years, and she truly makes the experience special. She's warm, welcoming, and makes you feel like family the moment you walk in. And of course, the food never disappoints. Everything is consistently delicious, perfectly seasoned, and the portions are just right--not too much, not too little. It's the kind of meal you look forward to and leaves you satisfied every time. We both ordered flounder as the main course. I got one spoonful of the soup and my wife ate one piece of shrimp when the main course came. So now I had to decide if I wanted to eat the soup or the fish while it was still hot. I decided on the fish and asked the waitress to just take the soup off. The waitress said this is a new system and they're not used to it yet and began to cry and said she would separate it and she would have to pay for it herself. I told her to forget it , that I would pay the 10.00 for the soup. BTW, the one spoonful I had of the soup was delicious. I just wish I could have eaten it hot, before my meal.
