We booked a tent for our end of December wedding months in advance. The delivery window was 9am -…read more12pm the day before the wedding. At a few minutes past 9am Wes called to say that it was too cold for him to set up the tent (it was minus 20-25). We were shocked and devastated. There was no mention of a minimum temperature at the time of booking. Over the next hour we had 3 separate calls, we agreed to take responsibility if the tent was damaged but Wes still wouldn't agree to set up the tent. In my opinion, either the tents are inferior quality (other tent rental places we contacted later had no concern about cold weather) or it was just too cold for him personally. The deposit refund was supposed to be processed the next day but took about 2 weeks and multiple email reminders. Luckily we found another company who agreed to a last minute set up of a tent the day of the wedding (since they had to come out from Toronto it was twice the price and they didn't finish until 2 hours before the wedding so the decor was hastily arranged and I only had 1 hour to get ready). Bottom line: Do not book with Main Event Tent Rentals in the winter.

I was at the The Children's Place at the Quinte Mall in Belleville. Katie came over to me right…read moreaway, she was approachable, attentive and helpful. I was trying to find a summer outfit, as well as summer pjs for my Grandson. We both came to the conclusion that 18 to 24 months is a popular size. We both had trouble finding the size in shorts and t-shirts I liked. She didn't give up. She stayed and helped me look until together we found shorts and a matching t-shirt in the right size. Katie then directed me over to where the summer pjs are, she found a cute set of pajamas for him. It was awesome to find out too, the clothing we chose was 40% off. Thank you Katie!

I dropped by here for apple pie, and also picked up some butter tarts, apple fritters and apple & strawberry fritter. The apple pie is quite nice and has a tartness to it for the no added sugar version and I also prefer it cold/fridge. Some prefer it hot and warmed up with ice cream which is an excellent option as well. The butter tarts were also surprisingly nice, gooey in the center with a nice light pie crust. I wouldn't recommend the apple fritter or the apple & strawberry fritter - mine was a bit too much dough, dense and a tad dry and mot to my preference. The store also has some souvenirs to purchase as well as a few hot foot options too if you're passing by and want a touristy type of feel which I quite enjoy. There's also a lot of tour busses that stop here which makes sense as it's a nice quick stop right off the highway.

I've been looking for this place all my life. Style is very artlessly elegant, which is difficult to find! They also sell candles poured into teacups and vintage cans. The lemon smells incredible. It has a very unassuming storefront- A few doors down from Glory Hole. Love, love, love, love, love.

Love everything Lavender!!…read more I visited Prince Edward Lavender during off season early September, so there is no lavender field. But I was not disappointed as I knew before my visit from the commication from their website. I love lavender products so to support local business, I usually try to buy something from their on site store whenever possible. There are good selection of products for aromatherapy, culinary, decor and beauty products that made of lavender. Just smelling the fragrance made browsing the store enjoyable. Worth dropping by next time when you are wine tasting in the PEC area. This is a good pit stop and a break from all the wine sipping!

When I called, I was told my file had been closed even though NOTHING was actually fixed. They promised to call me back again... another week went by, still nothing. I called yet again, and now they claim they "don't see anything" in their system. This company clearly doesn't care about its customers or the quality of its products. I've wasted weeks chasing them just to be ignored. The couch is junk, the service is a joke, and I'll never buy from them again. Save yourself the headache and spend your money somewhere else!

That's a lie... but it was a fun time... as far as shopping in small town Ontario goes. This store is is abuzz with all things bee and is located centre stage on Warkworth's idyllic, albeit sleepy, Main Street. It's full of organic honey based skincare products, all things bees wax, heavy glassware with bee prints and nicknacks galore. These bee-autiful nicknacks and charming home goods are housed in the nicest smelling (sandlewood?) barn-like structure I have ever been in. It is so quaint, and inviting, but be careful.
