My wife and I went out for a couple drinks and on our way back home decided to stop for some pizza. We saw they had a whole pizza available and it was 2 mins from closing time. We said we would just take the whole pie. When confirming 8 slices we reconfirmed the whole pizza, but realized he was trying to charge per slice. Half of the appeal comes from the ability to eat pizza late night after having a few drinks. I've had some really phenomenal pizza here, namely the margherita. My last time here, I did not have such a great experience. I ordered two slices of cheese and they were ok, nothing special, but still filling. I came in around 10:15 pm on a Monday and the place was pretty much already packed up, the water station wasn't set up, but nonetheless my other experiences have all been 5 stars and I probably could have asked for water. Five stars alone just for the salad pizza. It sounds odd but it's maybe my favorite pizza ever (coming from a Chicago girl that means a lot). It's a small pizza shop, sometimes it's hard to sit so don't expect to enjoy a long relaxing meal, more of a grab and go. I haven't had anything but the salad pizza but all the slices always look delicious, and are very large. The bbq chicken is super good, this is what we always get under the salad. It is the best pizza for the salad pizza! Make sure to order a slice of bbq chicken and add salad to it, instead of getting the salad pizza in the display. I've given Abbot as many times as I can to redeem themselves as a superb and quality pizza. But unfortunately Abbot always manages to disappoint and completely flop their pizza (quite literally). The pizza is very subpar and a floppy mess. Can't even pick up a slice from the box without it managing to plummet 90 degrees vertically to the center of the Earth (see photo below). I definitely think they should be focusing on the pizza quality than their signature salad pizzas and bagel crusts. However, staff are nice people and quite polite. read more
