Come spring, we were horrified to see the hideous state of the front yard. It was so embarrassing coming home to such an eyesore. We tried ripping the hodgepodge of plants out to no avail, and it didn't help that the lawn was basically a weed patch with a giant hole in the middle. We knew we couldn't transform our yard without professional help. That's where Legacy Landscapes came in. Joey drew up multiple options for the front yard and was very accommodating to our ideas, especially with our desire for a low-maintenance yard. Once we settled on a design, we were pleased to hear that our project could be started way ahead of schedule. The crew was very hard working and communicative throughout the process. I really appreciated the time they took to make sure that we were happy with the project along the way. Now, I'm no longer embarrassed of our home because the yard is immaculate and beautiful. Thank you, Joey and team! To anyone thinking about landscaping, I highly recommend the Legacy Landscapes crew.

It was a bit of a challenge because although the property is waterfront, only the backside of the garage faced the water, and the rest of the property was seriously overgrown and cluttered. Legacy first drew detailed plan proposals and after three iterations, we had a final plan that more than embodied our vision. Some of the design elements we would never have thought of and they really added to the total. Next we got a detailed cost breakdown and timing. Having dealt with other contractors extensively, I did not expect the budget and timeline to be followed, but they were! We of course, made changes as we went, but each time, Joey would come out to discuss and then he would produce revised schematics, timing and pricing. As a result, there were never any surprises. The end result far exceeded our expectations and we have received lots of kudos from our friends & neighbors (some have hired Legacy themselves!). So this could not have been a better experience and I think this comes down to excellent architecture, superb project management and a steady team that not only knew what they were doing, but also had an artist's touch. I can highly recommend them. You will not be disappointed.

Richard delivered on all of these and then some. During the process, he continued to consult with us and kept us informed of his schedule. We greatly appreciated his flexibility in allowing us to complete some of the work ourselves and the tips he provided to us along the way. For the few sub-contractors he used, Richard was always on site and oversaw their work. The pride he takes in his work is very evident. No detail is too small. His design complimented the style of our home and expanded our living space to the outdoors which is something we always longed for. We continue to marvel at how perfectly he balanced the use of steel and rock with the softness of each plant choice and placement. So many neighbors and passersby have stopped to chat and express their interest and inquire about Richard's work. Anyone would be lucky to work with him.

I have not spoken to my neighbor as to how things went, but I decided to contact PGD and requested a quote back in May. Tom came out, he is the designer. We said great, give us a design that includes a fire pit and helps keep water away from our foundation. He said he would come up with something. He said they have a crew that can start late July. A month went by, I called Tom and left a message that I am heading out of town and would like to get a bid. Tom and the estimator Jack showed up that day without responding to my message, they just showed up. My wife who wanted input was in her home office on a call with a client and could not get off. If we knew they were coming we would have made the arrangements. Either way, we had a pleasant visit and Jack and Tom appeared to have a plan in mind. A few more weeks pass and I call and speak with Tom. He said they have been real busy and Jack will have an estimate to me by the end of the following week. After that following week, I call and leave a message with Tom on his answering service. No response. A week later, I call the office directly and spoke with a very nice young receptionist that I left all my information with for Jack to please return my call. She assured he he would get the message. That was now 10 days ago. I did not give 1 star because I have not had them actually do any work for me. They did not get a 5 because they did not do any work for me. They do deserve a review because I did deal with their customer service through the bid process, and this review comes 3 weeks after they originally told me they can start. If there is a logical explanation as to why this went so poorly, I would love to hear it and I would adjust my review accordingly. But when I do business, or try to do business with a company, I will always give an honest review of how the process went. In this case, the process went nowhere.

Brandon was Cross Creeks on-site manager. Brandon is so knowledgeable about every aspect of your project and oversees the other team members ensuring all aspects of project stay on course. Team arrived early, working hard throughout each day. Very professional team. They all worked very cohesively, and any one of the team was ready to help you with questions. Project was completed within projected time table, And planned budget was met. The team cleaned up around project throughly prior to departure. My wife and I are already planning future projects with Cross Creek. We are so happy we chose Cross Creek for our landscaping, they truly eclipsed our expectations. They said it would take a day and a half. I took the first day off to be at home when they started. They arrived at 8:30 am. They told me they usually quit around 3pm. Around 2pm they called their boss to see if they could rent the lift they were using for another day. He said no. They had to stay late. So they had to hurry in order to get the lift all the way back to Airway Heights before 5pm, which meant they had to leave at 4:30. So now they were rushed to get all these branches down. They hit my tv antenna, Fences, and the neighbors roof. They got it to about a 15ft stump before they left. The next day, they arrived again about 8:30 am. This time I was at work. Now all they had left was a 15ft stump, and several branches to chip. I figured 4 or 5 cuts to get the rest of the tree down. They finally finished around 2pm. When I got home there was a 2.5ft stump left. Not ground level, like was stated in the estimate. I had called them to address my concerns, and pay my bill. They said they would get back to me. Several days later I get a call from some guy there, telling me my bill was now $2900.00. That is a 53% increase from the estimate, and $1000.00 more. I said nope, I'm not paying that. The next day I call back to get this resolved, and they said the Manager will call me back. She never did. Instead I got a bill in my email for $2216.00. So I had the wife call, and pay that. Now with an estimate, most people should plan for a 10-15% increase. Certainly not a 53% increase. The fact that they adjusted the bill to something more reasonable, is the only reason I am giving them 2 stars. I will not ever use, or recommend, this company again.
