Tried to order delivery through yelp and they didn't accept it .. & then called to place an order and the guy on the phone was so monotone . Placed my order and then got a call back 10 minutes later to tell me that their driver isn't feeling well so I wouldn't be able to get my order. Great. My husband and I have been meaning to try this place for a while and just ordered delivery this afternoon. We ordered a Cuban sandwich, a buffalo chicken sandwich, fries, and mozzarella sticks. All were great, but the Cuban sandwich will be on my list of favorites for a while. Delicious. Fries were perfectly seasoned. I have driven past this place many times and due to its location never took the time to stop and try it. The place where is usually get pizza from has gone down hill so I searched for pizza on yelp and saw this place had some good reviews. So I figured it couldn't hurt to try it. Deli House is indeed a hidden gem, unless you live in the point or work in Shetland park, if thats the case then you already know about it. First off, the Pizza is a surprise in a city that has relatively few decent pizza places. Not an Upper Crust fan, Engine House is meh, but deli house has taken the prize for best slice in salem in my opinion. Secondly, for a surprisingly small establishment the menu is bountiful. I eat here about three days a week and never get bored with it. It is also very pocket friendly in a day in age when you a normal lunch will cost you 7 or 8 bucks, I rarely walk out of the DH spending more than 6. Service is excellent, the owner is friendly and takes pride in things like fresh ingredients and bread. Great sub rolls. Great chicken parm or cheesesteak wrap. Awesome calzones that are also cheap. Homemade steak and cheese pastalitos are my new favorite menu item. Theyre fucking great. DH is awesome, no doubt about it. read more

So delicious. I ordered through Yelp. Had them deliver a steak and cheese sandwich with fries and a ham, turkey, and cheese Hannah pie to Far From the Tree Cidery. I had my order in under 20 minutes delivered to me. Everything was fresh, tasty, and hot. The driver even brought me some fried dough balls with powdered sugar. So nice! I have lived in Salem for 18 years and this used to be my go to spot but yesterday I placed an order on my way there. When I got there they were so busy my order was sitting there on the counter. They ignored me the whole time. The phone rang and they had the person wait so long they hung up. Their food is good but the owner is so rude. I'll have to go to Lynn to get my food now. We were visiting Salem for a couple days, and decided to give this place a try due to the good reviews. It didn't disappoint! We were able to order online which is definitely a plus for me. We ordered a medium pepperoni pizza and a large order of french fries. The price was phenomenal. I think it came out to only $11.00! The pizza was thin crust ( what we ordered) and delicious. The fries were crispy and a huge portion! The guys in the shop were so friendly and welcoming. They made us feel right at home. Please do not overlook this spot when in Salem. Yes I love Deli House. I live very close to it and NEVER a disappointment!!! Affordable and YUMMY!!!! They also have breakfast sandwitches and french toast sticks. Hidden Gem! First and foremost the owner or this place is a very friendly and attentive person. (sorry i forgot his name), we came on a off-hour slow Saturday and my girl said she would even come back if the food wasnt that good.because the owner was so nice. We got the chicken parm, buffalo chicken pizza, and french fires (the owner even threw in some fried dough balls to try which are amazing) I would go back and get all three again. I have already recommended this place to 3 couples who live in Salem and they all asked "how I found this place". He now has 8 repeat customers based off of our one great initial visit. We love these guys! Have been ordering delivery on and off for 2 years. Always a medium cheese pizza, extra cheese, slightly well done, chicken fingers, cheese steak with extra cheese with peppers. Every time, no disappointment. I recently picked up an order, found this place to be adorable inside and was greeted by the owner. My order was ready, and it was nice to chat with the folks who have been delivering. In all the choices of Salem's "great places" to be the "place" for great food, simple service is right at Deli House Pizza, and always a nice, kind, "what can I do for you" attitude! 8 bucks for 16 inches of pizza heaven? You bet! This pizza is so good, I could never have any other pizza again and be happy about it. The sauce is sweet and there's plenty of cheese! Also, their buffalo chicken calzones are delicious and MASSIVE! The owner is a really awesome guy and you can tell he is really dedicated to making amazing food. Seems like the best food is always found in the ghetto, haha! So don't be afraid of the location, it's so worth it! And they deliver after 2pm so no worries if you don't want to venture to the point at night! We went there for lunch, it is very small and I would recommend calling in any pizza or calzone orders. Everything is made fresh and our Greek pizza was definitely worth the price and the time it took to make. We also had garden salads - again made fresh and with wonderful tomatoes.
