If you're looking for great food and a fun time, Lil Bo's is the place to be. Trust me, you'll leave with a full belly and a happy heart. One of my favorites places when I visit Up North!

Absolute gem of an experience. Love the atmosphere. The tables were also super cool with all of the Louisiana memorabilia! My husband had the cowboy burger and it was absolutely delicious. I had the Will's po boy and it was also great. Already planning on coming back to try more before we leave! The staff was super busy but so attentive. 10 out of 10 experience for sure.

Very hole in the wall, but for the most part in the most wonderful way. The buttermilk chicken tenders were great (mind you it does not reheat well so eat up!). The burgers and waffle fries were tasty the server was great, the side of cheese was my only real complaint. Just don't get that and you'll be fine. With all the places with long waits and high prices, this was a nice refuge.

The best fried chicken strips I've had in years! T

This is, I believe, the oldest restaurant in Traverse City, although it was closed during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic and has changed hands. We came here on the recommendation of friends who said they have the best burgers. It was noisy inside so we sat outside. I started with a gin martini which was lovely and Mark had a gin and tonic that wasn't great. Next I had a Caesar salad that was fine and he had their Nantucket Chowder which was great. Then we split a black and blue burger, medium rare. Truthfully, I was disappointed. It was at least medium - nothing rare about it - and the blue cheese dressing seemed to be missing the blue cheese. The waffle fries were great! I'm not sure we will be back. Maybe with friends who want to come.

The burger was fantastic! Fresh meat, loved the diced pickle, I'll be back!

The food and our server Elizabeth were great, we will be back for more very soon! Friendly, fun atmosphere, great food and drink menu. Kudos to Lil Bo's and their team.

Slabtown is an…read moreabsolute 'must' for any burger lovers visiting TC; especially in the summertime when you can sit outside on their porch or surrounding patio. It's an old house that has been transformed into a burger destination. The inside is cramped, especially in the order area when they're busy, and indoor seating is tough to come by at peak times. The service has never been anything short of excellent on our visits. The staff is welcoming, helpful, patient, and friendly. Service is quick, even when they're slammed. Phenomenal burgers, O-rings, tots, and sweet potato fries. The Northwood's DRAFT (not fountain) root beer is a perfect pairing with their burgers. Slabtown's menu of specialty burgers is enormous and the BYO options include different protein choices and excellent GF buns. I've tried many of their burgers, but have to say that the Slabby Patty on a pretzel bun and the Pungi's Pepper Patty really stood out as a couple of my favorites. For a really sinful (and unhealthy) treat, ask for the gravy tots. Oh brother...insanely good but definitely a guilty pleasure. We've sent tons of our friends and family here, and I can tell you that every one of them has thanked us for the recommendation and raved about their burgers. So what are you waiting for? You can still taste the quality meat that was cooked perfectly. I upgraded ($5) to the Onion Ring combo. The onions were large and thick with a nice coating on them. Nice and crunchy and very tasty. The service was a mixed bag. The 1st interaction was okay. A little lackluster in the energy. I forgot my coat and I came back n to grab it. It was set by the counter waiting for me. Since I was there I was going to order a shake. However the attendant was too busy having a conversation in the back to serve a customer. Overall a solid 4 star review. The food is probably 5 star, but the service brings it down to a 4. Would I return. Yes, the food is definitely worth a visit.

When we ordered, the bartender didn't drink which made it hard to know what certain beers taste like, but honestly, no judgement because he did the right thing and offered tastes of beer which was awesome and helpful! So service wise I would say great! The beer tasted really good as well and was decently priced. They had a bourbon barrel stout which was pretty good and newly released. The biggest issue we had was with the food. I ordered the spam sandwich with chips and my wife ordered the chicken quesadilla. While the food was cheap, the quality of the food also seems that way too based off what we ordered. The spam sandwich was supposed to be teriyaki flavored, and didn't get any of that. There wasn't a lot of thousand island dressing on it too, which made the sandwich dry. The chips that were served were clearly out of a bag as they were cold, which made it seem like I could have just gotten a bag myself. I would have paid a few dollars extra to get something fresh like fries. While spam comes from a can and I know this, my wife's chicken quesadilla had chicken that was clearly from a can - it was sopping wet, and the meat was very chunky, and very salty. This made us worry the rest of the food may not be very fresh. While we did have that experience, I will say the pretzel bites were really good and did seem fresh, and they were sourdough! So that was nice. I think this place has very good beer, and a really cool bar setup with a nice stage, arcade machines, and much more. However, I wouldn't come back here for lunch. Instead, I would make food at home. I would highly recommend more fresher options, and I would pay a little more for better quality food.

I haven't been here for years, and was so happy to see that the menu still had my favorite Monte Cristo and beer cheese soup! Prices are high because it's Traverse City, so that doesn't bother me and you get the soup for 5 bucks when you add it to a meal! Nice! We started with the calamari - small portion, but it was hot and fresh and plenty for 2 people to share. I also had a small house salad, and added white cheddar for $1 (that was a good suggestion from our server Kylie!). The pesto ranch was great too. I love their main IPA, they do a great job, and it is always on the menu (versus seasonal). I love how this place is laid out, there are lots of wooden booths that feel quiet and private. The only reason for taking off a star is the parking. It's incredible that for a large restaurant, they share a small lot with multiple businesses.
