It's actually closer to the Home Depot than the Costco. Each line has enough space for seven cars or so before it split out into the street. But because it is not close to Costco, it would not effect the parking like the ones in California do.

I can also assure you that when gassing up your rental before turning it back in at the Lihue Airport... That you will 100% be willing to wait in that long line at Costco Gasoline in Lihue. Trust me, since our first visit in 2012 and our most recent visit in 2025, I have tried every which way to figure out what's the best way to do it. Do I go for the "Fuel Service Option" at the local car rental place where I pay for a full tank in advance and can return the car on empty? Do I live wild and just bring the car back with whatever amount of fuel is in the tank and have the rental car company then charge me a premium price for re-fuel it? Do I pass up multiple gas stations because I know there's got to be a cheaper station up the road just to save roughly 3 bucks? Or Do I choose to head towards the airport a little early, wait patiently in line, and then get my fuel at Costco Gasoline where they have the most reasonable gas prices in town, maybe even on the island. Trust me, I've done all of these options and Costco is hands down the only way to go. Sure... There's probably gonna be a line. Sure... You might second guess yourself while in that line. But after you pay, save a little money and you realize that the line actually moved fairly quick, you will be happy with your choice. Just don't forget... You MUST be a Costco Member to get gas here. And if you followed my advice about heading to the airport a little early to fuel up and get that car rental back before your flight, might as well head over to the Costco Food Court (which is located on the outside of the Costco) and grab yourself a hot dog and soda for $1.50 or maybe even a slice of pizza. Lord knows, that bag of pretzels on the 6+ hour flight ain't gonna cut it. To Kauai... To Costco Gasoline... To the Costco Food Court... I'll see you next time!!!

I can tell by the expression of her face. No greeting, no smile, no friendly ambiance, in short no Aloha vibes. So slow & at that time we are racing our nerves to be on time to return baby Je. When I handed her our plastic she had a total poker face. Only two pumps available in this gas station and she also served the other in the front. They keep on talking with the driver maybe they're friends I don't know but it annoys be a lil bit. Like come on lady! Anyhow, this woman took a couple minutes to hand us back our plastic & our receipt. Good thing we have this lil amount of patience to say anything. We tried to be firm you know. LoL. If you guys are not in a hurry, that's fine. But if you don't have the patience better go find other station or better on a self-service gas station. That would be a lot easier. As you will see, the pics of musubis are just a small taste of what you'll find. It's like finding treasure! One summer, this place was selling custard pie that came the closest to what Tip Top offered back in the ole' days:) nice rich golden yellow. The staff are nice and friendly. Visitors and locals, the next time you pass by Hanamaulu, do yourselves a favor and stop by to grab some musubis... and cookies... and manapua... maybe even a bento!
