There's not many drive up car washes in Kauai, so we stopped by Sudz to wash our rental car. This place gets busy and there are not many vacuums available. I would put a limit on vacuum time because we didn't want to wait and cause a traffic jam. read more

Excellent service! We parked under the wrong tree and ended up with a significant amount of dried on bird poop on the windshield and hood. We stopped here and they took the time to pressure wash the poop off before sending us through! Very thorough job. Also the posted price was $16 for a basic, but we only paid $14.50 after leaving a tip. read more

Sudz is my all time favorite place to get a great car wash and a nice vacuum done to the inside of your vehicle. The staff( young men are just all so awesome. So friendly that gives excellent customer service. The best thing I like is when they check the inside of your bed and if there's rubbish they will help and take out the rubbish for you without any trouble. Sometimes having a truck you forget their can be possible rubbish But Sudz will take care. I recommend Sudz Kauai Kapaa and Lihue location 100%. You won't be disappointed. Mahalo again, for providing the best customer service and business . read more

I have utilized Sudz frequently for several years with only the best experiences; always so impressed by how hard the staff work. But about a month ago, the car in front of me came off the track and my car was pushed into it, damaging the front bumper. While navigating this was initially rocky, once a good flow of communication was established, Sudz helped me figure out how to get my car back to normal while minimizing impacts to my finances/time. A part of me thought of giving them a four (after all, my car was damaged) but they could have left me to deal with this on my own and instead, stepped forward to help me find a good resolution. Things happen no matter what and supporting one another to figure it out when they do is part of what makes Hawaii so special. Mahalo Austin for the aloha you bring to your operation. read more

We had a great experience! We left our backpack by accident. They found and stored it in the office until we could drive back across the island to get it! Excellent service and communication read more

Damaged my car and they filled out an internal claim and gave me a copy and said manager would get back to me. Took 4 months to get a response or call back. They refused to acknowledge any wrong doing. Terrible management. Someone should open a viable car wash business and shove them out of business. read more

"We're going to be late!" ~ annoying bandit almost yelling out from his lungs! And juanderpinay to the rescue! Thank goodness for Yelp! Makes our juanderventure a lot easier. Search for the nearest car parlor and viola! SCW to the rescue. Baby Je needs to be wash before we drop it back. Thank goodness they got the vacuum too! I don't exactly know how much is the vacuum coz we are in the rush but mahalo nui loa because at that time no one got there! So we have couple of vacuums to choose from. No sweat for this. We hop back immediately to go on the next stop ~ car wash area. So far the process works simple. You pay & then do the drill (car setting). And when everything is good they'll guide you to let your car align that will push it to start the cleaning process. We were both quiet but we can definitely hear our breathing & I can tell he's thankful for me for saving our bu**. LoL. Service is good but we weren't not that satisfy. Because after the wash nobody on the end waiting for us to wipe the car at least to help it dry faster. Or maybe they don't have that service, and that's why you only pay $10 for the car wash. Anyhow, we are so thankful for the fast ease service on this car parlor. We are still 5mins. late when we drop the car but who cares, as long as we did the best we can to keep baby Je clean when we return him. They over work your children and they let adults asalt them on the job on camera. Horrible place to spend your money

First of all, I want to say that the washers are actually amazing and very dedicated. But the management and pricing has been somewhat questionable. I've had a van on the island since 2018 & now own/manage 6 vans, cars & trucks. Sadly the prices have just continued to skyrocket overtime. I feel like they are doing this because they are a Monopoly and it would be great if they could be more fair, especially to residentswho are coming here all the time or using this car wash for Turo. If you are the only car wash in town, you should be happy for all the business you are getting not gouging prices because you can. The only other drive thru car wash is the one at Texaco and I'm going to start going there if I need a cheaper car wash instead of Sudz just because the prices are too high to justify it. It would be really nice if they also allow debit cards for the vacuum so you don't have to continually go back and forth for quarters which are also not documented if not on debit cards at the end of the year on a receipt. Also, I tried the unlimited for 2 cars for a few months, but I'm pretty sure that they did not put me on the right package because every time I went through the tires did not look as good as they did when I paid out-of-pocket cart for the higher priced car wash with Simonise tire polish. I was paying for the highest price unlimited package, but it just did not seem like that's what I was getting in return. Hmmmm they made an excuse that it's because "the water is hard." That has nothing to do with the Simonides tire polish...? I really hope they are not telling people that they are giving them a certain high-priced car wash package and then putting them through one of lesser quality. But there's no way to know.... read more

Best car wash on the planet! They literally hand wash the car before it even goes thru the automated wash! And only $12???? This place is incredible! read more

This place randomly opens and closes whenever it wants. I'm a resident here. And they're posted hours are Monday through Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.. three times this week, I have showed up at 9:30 a.m., and they have not been open. Twice this week, I have showed up at 4:30 p.m., And they have been closed. The hours posted on site, match the hours posted on Google. They do not put up any signs saying that their hours have changed, and I've made five trips to this car wash now in an attempt to wash my vehicle, And the place has been closed with no signage indicating as to why. This used to be my go-to car wash, from now on, I'll be driving to Lihue. I highly doubt they'll care about this review because they get so much business from tourists. Who cares about the residents? Right? read more

I have never been to a car wash establishment like this that charges you extra to vacuum your car. Maybe this is a Hawaii thing but I was not impressed. The car wash itself was sufficient, but I was highly irritated that after the car wash when I normally vacuum out my car I was asked to put in quarters. Its like I just gave you $20 some dollars and you wont vacuum my car for that price? No, I definitely would not be back here. read more

Save your time and go elsewhere with vacuums that have good suction. These hardly did the job. Low suction

First time here and pretty darn good. I arrived and saw cash changing hands so did not know if debit or cards were usable so I reversed out of the line and did some shopping at Safeway, then came back with cash... I like this place! Good employees, good wash. I get the basic wash and tip the people. There are vacuums here too but haven't tried them yet. Need to! read more

NEVER going back to Sudz Carwash. I have been a customer of theirs for 5 years, and get my vehicle washed weekly. This last time, the employees broke my tailgate and now it will not shut! I was told the "manager" would call me back within a few hours and it's been 3 days now with no call back. Every time I try and call them they say the manager isn't there and hang up on me. They are blatantly ignoring me because of the damage they did to my vehicle and I have now had to file a police report and insurance claim for damage done by Sudz. I'm so appalled by their lack of service! Will absolutely NEVER be using their services again and I suggest you do not either. Such a shame they could provide such horrible service. Very sketchy that the manager is literally "never on duty". Do not use them. read more

Do not take your car here. My car had grit from the power washing being done on the hotel's walls and I wanted it clean before returning it...it's a rental, we are on vacation. The car came out not only not very clean but COVERED in scratches. Two kids with big brushes at the entrance with apparently no idea the brush has to be super wet before using it on a dirty car. Sudz Car Wash has recently opened up their second location on Kaua'i. This location is conveniently located off of Kuhio Highway in Kapa'a, across Texaco(Chevron). For $13, you can get all the bells and whistles that this car wash has to offer. You may think this is a hefty price to pay for a car wash, but, saving time instead of washing your car yourself seems worth it to me. Plus, before you head in, they have an attendant rinsing down the dirt and getting your windshield prepped. I'll definitely be back again. With all the rain we've received in the last week, I know I'll need it! read more

Higher prices, lower standards: I've been here with my brand-new car twice before, but this third time was significantly worse than before (and before was only good, not great, the obvious caveat being that Sudz doesn't include ANY cleaning of the interior; customers have to pull up at the industrial vacuum cleaners first and pay $2 to do that by themselves. Which, to my mind, is only half the job of cleaning a car!). It used to cost $12 for Basic, now it costs $15. Although I had my tip in hand to give to the guy at the end of the service, on this occasion, there was no guy at the end of the service (there was before, and I tipped $5 for an only OK finish, and assumed they split the tips - ?). But now I figure that they expect to get a tip ahead of giving service, and that the quality of the service you get, depends on the tip that they get from the get-go, which BTW is NOT the way tipping is supposed to work... Because the car is still very new (March this year), when I put it in Neutral (as per the written instructions at the start of the wash), the hand-brake automatically came on - which I didn't notice. So I guess this made me look like an idiot to the two young men running the car-wash, and that they based the rest of their behaviour towards me, off that. At the end of the wash, I waited patiently for the green light next to the 'Go' signal to go on, but nothing happened. Eventually the machines stopped making (much) noise, so even though it still wasn't lit up, I figured it was probably time to drive out. As-said, nobody was there with a cloth to finish the job. I pulled over. At this point, one of the guys (the one with reddish blonde hair) came out and asked accusingly, why was I just sitting there for so long, (quote) "You nearly caused an accident!". I replied that I was waiting for the green light to come Go. "Oh, that thing's broke."! I asked him for a cloth so I could finish the job myself, he (quote) "I don't have a cloth". I told him that this was an unfinished job, but he didn't care what I thought and was already walking away. So before all the water had dried on the paint and chrome, I whipped out the only 'cloth' I had handy - a box of tissues, and wiped everything down, but that still wasn't in time to stop water-staining/spotting on the chrome. (Also, I don't recommend using tissues to wipe down a vehicle, as it leaves a residue of fine paper-dust! Still better than water-spots all over a freshly-washed car.) So since it turns out I have to do half the work myself, next time I'll go to the drive-thru self-serve wash up the road, which costs half as much. read more

Used to be SO great... what happened. We used to use Sudz every week almost daily for our TURO vehicles... which are only surface dirty and rarely require a DEEP clean. For the last year, their car wash still charges $20. Doesn't even ask about loyalty card anymore. And for $20 you can buy the stuff to wash your car better. The tire shine NEVER works and 1/2 of the car is NEVER clean. This is the EXACT same problem with their Lihue location. I feel sorry for the young boys working. They look like they hate their job. Probably because so many customers complain. The owners need to step it up and fix their wash. The "wash" barely grazes your car. Like you can actually see it NEVER moving. Imagine moving slowly through a mop. It does nothing. I have wasted SO much money going here and EVERY TIME, I regret it and tell myself. WHY DID I WASTE THIS MONEY?! Not to mention their "dryer" barely dries.... Before it did... when they first opened. No wax in the $20 was. Nor is their tire shine and they will ACKNOWLEDGE IT DOES NOT WORK!!!! Yet charge you anyways.... It is BS! You're better off going to the shell gas station and washing your car for a MAX of $10 and get your car cleaner. Not giving this local place business anymore... and it makes me sad because I love supporting small... but the owners aren't taking care of their wash or seem to care if it even is operating to satisfactory standards considering every review is the same.... Sickening. read more

They are open for business and charging full price while trying to work the bugs out of their incomplete facility. I was sold the hot wax for $5 extra and all it did was provide the remaining dirt on the car after the carwash with a wax coating so the vehicle looked anything but clean, and stayed that way until I buffed the crap off myself. As I drove away after the car wash, I saw electricians' trucks and electricians still stringing wires, on the facility which made me wonder if this place is even ready to perform... My car was still dirty after $18 and the hot wax baked it on. I say wait and save your money, or just go up the street. transaction #851681400765 read more

Friendly aloha service, had just lost $1.50 across the street trying to vacuum, car was dirty so decided to upgrade with a car wash, by heading to Sudz across the street. Services start from $13 to $19 for premium. Vacuum additional $1.75, maybe it was the scrub uniform or maybe they could tell I had just lost money across the street but the manager was nice enough to give me the vacuum al a carte. Normally a pretty good car wash service. But on 12/10/20, changing my review of this place. I always tip about 20%, and ask if they could get some bird poo off a certain area.
